For my 9mm 1911 comp gun I use bullseye with 147 round nose lead.  it shoots ragged holes at 50' with Ed Masaki shooting it. I forget who makes the bullets but it has blue bullet lube
...
Western nevada cast bullets are what ed used to sell.. they had a blue wax type lube.
You can make major9 with that because the bullets slide down the bbl faster than jacketed bullets.
I applied that trick with my 45's. Now I make those for my son's 1911.
That's how to play the game.

Thanks for the confirmation.   That's right where I'm at as well.

Is this the person that bought my SDB?  I've been using 147 grain flat point with 3.5 grains of titegroup.  I've been messing with the seat depth so I don't know what would work for you.  Titegroup and bullseye have similar burn rates so either one would work fine.  I didn't chrono this load yet.  Are you going to use it for action shooting?  Been using my .45 1911 for single stack division.  The 9mm will be for my wife.

yes sir.  Thank you for the great deal!  Yes. I was wanting to try action shooting, I was ready to go, but something came up, so for right now I'll have to rain check that.  The bullseye load seems to work pretty well.  I still need to chrono to confirm
