My HK collection
« on: October 28, 2015, 02:38:24 PM »
Just thought I'd share my HK collection here with you guys.  I have two transferable full auto sears.  One Fleming, and one Qualified, that get swapped between these 6 German hosts.  Hope you enjoy, and post what you guys have too!

Nice collection.

If you don't mind me asking are the hosts clones or authentic HKs.  Also if clones who did you have do the work?

An full auto bolt is all that is required to make any host operate in FA. A semi bolt can also be converted simply by welding back the sear trip.

The lower is a whole different story.

HK sears are extremely versatile. A single lower (sear equipped)  can operate on all the HK 9 series firearms platforms with no modifications. including all types of clones and variation such as the LUSA and Nitescout.

You still need to retime and change the extractors?

Timing has to do with the hammer of the lower. Nothing is required in the upper.

A retimed hammer is required as the sear hole of a semi housing will make the hammer ride much  higher than the original FA sear hole.

Approved FA conversion require the use of the semi housing,

The notch (red square) in the semi housing was required for importation of HK to specifically prohibit the use of a surplus sear.

The Flemming and Qualified conversions used the semi repositioned elbow spring pin to mount the new sear.

A surplus sear mounted in a semi housing is too short to reach the sear trip

All but 2 are 100% German.  The MP5SD has an Urbach suppressor, the the 23E is an MM23E.

Mike of Michaels Machines built the mp5, mp5k, and hk53 from German hosts (HK94s and an HK93) with cut up unfired German parts kits, and the HK51 was an HK91 that he cut down.
