Since the weather can obviously affect important things like crops and therefore food supplies I don't find it a surprise that people could become up in arms due to weather issues. Not a direct relation to ISIS but certainly a possible contributing factor for unrest.

Folks don't go around killing people because their crops didn't grow.  People have a choice what they do when bad times happen.

I agree it is not a cause, but it may be a contributing factor, something that made the situation worse. Something goes wrong and people blame the government and start protesting. We have protestors here that do that.

This ideal is the cause of 98% of the problems on this planet. Look to where there is violence and strife in the world today and you will find Islam at its root.

This isn't about "science" and it has nothing to do with food supplies. None of the supposed "refugees" I've seen look to be starving, quite the opposite in fact. They are even destroying care packages because they "Don't like the food".

I don't think you can derive the 2nd statistic from the 1st statistic, that reasoning is weak and could be quite wrong. For example someone might consider it real but not a threat.

I have never heard the number that high though, do you have a link?
