This is not a protest  >:D or a demonstration :grrr: , but an "assembly of law abiding :geekdanc: citizen voters ;), some of which are firearm owners :shaka: displaying their displeasure  :( of Hawaii's CCW and other firearm related laws"  to their legislators
Signage should express just that.  :geekdanc:

1)   "- DO NOT bring or do anything that could be construed as illegal (or intimidating) by (to) HRS (or anyone else)
2)   - Be professional, dress professional, keep the signage professional.
3)   - Do NOT get into any confrontations. Ignore trolls that may happen by.
4)   -  (Clean up yourself) Clean up after yourself

No holsters.see #1

Tom G as spokes person. see #2.

I think we should put our best appearance forward, 8) be non threatening   :-* and present our message in a professional manner. :geekdanc:

Get me a serious head count and lunch/waters  is on me .
Anybody got a nice clean professional non threatening wagon ?

This is the flier I created and intend to hand out.

If the majority of you plan to use it, cool.

If no one wants to use it, cool.

What will not happen is someone dictating how I will dress, what I will do, what I will say, what I will hand out and who will speak for me if I am presented with a question. I am well educated enough to respond in a professional manner, as well as act as act with professionalism and tact in a professional setting that broadcasts light on the 2a community.

If I wanted to be micromanaged, I would have stayed in the Army.

I agree, Tom_G should be spokesman. Should he choose to accept it.

Empty holsters are NOT illegal. Someone that "construes" them as such is ignorant and needs to be educated. I shall be wearing mine. This is the United States of America, you choose what is right for you.

Show up clean, dressed and sober. Thongs and nipple tassels are not appropriate attire.

Educate people about responsible firearms ownership, whomever they may be. Avoid violent confrontation at all costs.

I'll be bringing a cooler of water and soft drinks, sorry, no beer until after.   8)

Nice flyer Q !
But I guess you should leave your Mankini at home (just a suggestion)

Looks like empty holsters it is by majority of participants. (Not required of course)

going it alone I guess.  if there are like minded people so be it, if not, will still be protected by the rights individual or otherwise.

What are you talking about ?
We're riding in the same car and my wife has our bail money.  ;)
Good thing no one on this forum does anything against the law.

I told you folks this thing wasn't organized.
Grass roots baby.

Looks like participation is climbing    :shaka:

My own agenda is on second amendment rights as a whole.  CCW is a part of that, but not my focus.  I want the whole system redone!

As far as holsters, I'll bring one along, but have yet to decide if I'll be wearing it or not.  I can't decide exactly what message it sends, and if that message is a support or distraction fro my agenda.

Me, as spokesperson?  I'm honored!  Many of you haven't met me, though... I wear my hair long, it tends to be unkempt (particularly after an afternoon marching around in the sun!), my beard in untrimmed, and the closest thing to "professional" clothes I can easily manage would be an NRA Polo shirt.  I can be eloquent, but I look like either a hippie or a biker.  If that's the face you want, I shan't decline, but there are more media-genic articulate people in our ranks.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Xring girl?  Beach bikini hottie?

Someone's elderly mother?

Sorry to say but in this state, a female talking about her right to self defense says a whole lot more than it coming from a male.

Alternatively, someone who is older and has a physical disability might also send a more powerful message than an able bodied man.

In that case, thongs and nipple tassel's are allowed.

You got my support. Be glad to assist. And I will be holstered up, Will bring an extra for any unarmed and unholstered likeminded. We can keep trying the same old same old, and get the same status quo. Or try something new. I say open/CCW T-shirts. That way the squeamish can protest on there time off and while at leisure. Unfortunately I don't know didly about T-shirts, design or procurement.I am researching the matter.  I was thinking if someone knows how to silk screen, they can make a master copy and anyone who wants just brings there own shirts. Cheap efficient and no membership dues.

Here is the flier, free for anyone to print out and use.

I will try and print out 50-100 fliers before the event.

Also, if anyone wants to proof read and let me know of any mistakes, feel free to do so as well  :shaka:

I doubt it will go anywhere or happen however I just submitted a invite for Donald Trump to join us on the 20th at the capital. There are no events listed on his schedule that day.

If anyone else would like to submit an invite you can do it here, https://www.donaldjtrump.com/contact/

I think if someone really cared about the cause, they would suck it up and get a haircut, shave and some decent clothes.

But maybe that's just me!?

I've heard the opposite all my life.  You only get one chance to make a first impression.

Most people won't ever spend the time to really get to know us.
