I will help everybody out by storing any excess magazines you have.  Glock 9mm and AR15 mags especially welcome.

Regardless of storage container, even though they stack nicely, they take up space.
For 30 rnd AR P-Mags,I find having them in the old Post Korean and Vietnam US M1 magazine bandoleers keeps them together in their separate storage area's/containers.
10,20 and 30 round versions.

Grabbing 6-8 magazines together makes easy access to 180-240 rounds on the run.
Shoulder strap makes it an easy "accessory" for all fashion styles and you can add as many as you can carry.
Skip every third pouch and it can be folded  flat ''Z" style for storage wherever that may be.

Be sure to get the larger ones, not the 6" light green ones shown which are specifically for 10 rd "clips/magazines .
Some of the longer (8") ones have sewing 2" off the bottom.
Simply remove stitching and 30 rnd  Mags fit
Also a nice way to store ammo on 10 rnd stripper clips, really nice if you also have the boxes

40MM grenade ammo can (the long rectangular one with handles on the ends), with several desiccant packs to absorb moisture. Never have to worry about corrosion as long as the rubber gasket on the lid is intact.

you looking for protective storage or just organization?
i do both. use large pelican cases for pistol mags and rifle mags go in stackable heavy duty bins with other gear. thinking about buying those foam inserts they sell on amazon that fit into ammo cans to create magazine storage for pistol mags since theyre more prone to rust.

i recently repurposed a canvas hanging shoe/slipper organizer. its meant for mounting to the back of a door or hang on a wall. they usually come with around 20-30 pockets. the one i have has 2 sizes of pockets and the larger ones hold 3 aluminum mags or 2 pmags and the other pockets hold 1.
can stuff it with 40+ mags. id imagine you could lay one on top of the other and have layered storage if you really want to get crazy.

I bought some zippered pouches from Home Depot.  I tagged each with the make/model gun.  I put the mags, holsters, and other accessories in each.  Then when I grab a pistol, I can grab that pouch and have all the pieces and parts together.

Some don't all fit in one pouch, so I use 2, or find a larger pouch.

For Rifle mags, I have small caliber in a .30 Cal ammo can, and AK/AR in a .50 Cal can.

Additional safe with basic wooden homemade shelves (shaped like this: π).  Relatively easy to reconfigure or modify to hold various sizes of loose mags, ammo cans, or bags by changing the length of the sides or adding dividers on certain shelves.  I run a dehumidifying rod to mitigate the risk of rust on my metal mags.

I also keep a couple of cloth sacks in the safe that Amazon sent me as "gift wrap" for some odd shaped orders.  If I have to, I can shovel the loose mags into the sacks and bail rather quickly, looking more like Santa Claus to my neighbors than Rambo.

I store my guns in safes.

The extra pistol mags, I store in the hard pistol cases.

Rifle mags, I store in pelican cases.

Most of the rifle mags I own are either the AR or AK type.

pretty nice but expensive for a block of foam.
