Took a shot at it today.  Figured I'd do a warm up using a different target (1st image) thought I did pretty well. I reshot my misses so that's the reason for a few with two shots at them. Changed to the star targets and  ammo (ran out of Green Tag), Damn this is hard! Especially without a rear bag. Hella fun though!! Got to talk story with Inspector. Beautiful Anschutz!!

Username: Bushido
Score: 120? Several borderline shots that could go either way.
Class: 1
Scope: Millet TRS-1
Rifle: 10/22
Ammo: SK
Weather: Have no clue. 5-15 tradewinds?
Excuses: Stressing because I was running out of ammo and hoping i could complete the target. Lol
Great score! The best I did was 105 today. I will post my targets later. Got really busy after I got home.

I shot it on regular paper today (budget). Hard to score it with regular paper vs card stock. I got a couple of Savage bolt actions that I'd like to get out with. They shoot better groups than this 10/22 but shooting for groups and score is two different things.

I'd like to give my Winny with irons a try too. Nobody has submitted a iron sight target.

I'm sure there's a ton of guys shooting this fun shoot. Why is there so little people posting their targets? Come on, this is for fun!!

Next month is going to be tough. Standing unsupported and unslung is tough. Can't wait for the 100yrd prone shoot. Lol. Sitting and kneeling too

Nice shootin' Bushido !

Couple of those 5's you scored look pretty close to 10's in my book.

didnt think about it till you posted this but I printed my target on adhesive backed paper.I think if I printed on regular paper I would have a lower score because some were very close to the edge but did not break it

I am hoping that I can shoot my Savage 1926 pump action .22 with iron sights. That is going to be tough and interesting.

Next week will be my modified 10/22 with lightweight barrel. I also have a Marlin Model 60 I can try.

I tried the Williams Peep sights a couple weeks back. My eyes were getting fatigued but managed a decent group considering. I want to give it another go I'll post it good or bad. Maybe spark some interest in irons for some

I has access to card stock several years back. So much better. The bullets literally punch holes through it. Very clean compared to regular paper that almost tears. Very accurate for scoring groups.

Nice shooting! Exactly what I was wondering. I was going to ask you if you noticed a difference between SK Rifle Match and Standard Plus. Being about 25% more in cost, I was curious if it was worth the extra price. Even your misses with the Match is close. I'm not one that likes to blame my misses on "flyers" but looking at your targets as a whole, clearly the Match is much more consistent.

I'll post a couple more targets that were shot with different ammo with lesser scores. Maybe others will start posting. I know there's more people shooting this game but just not posting.

Posting to show that I'm human and not every target is a 100pt+ target. I see a ton of pimped out 22s at the range and hoping they will participate and post their results. I did notice that the white background star was easier to shoot than the black even though both targets were scored 90. These are not submitted as official targets. Just thought I'd try.

Score: 90
Class:  1
Scope: Millet
Rifle: 10/22 modified just a little
Ammo: Wolf Match Target (Old lot about 10yo)
Weather: ??? I shoot by feel
Excuses: The muzzle blast from the guy next to me shooting the 338 Lapua was too much wind for me to hold for. Lol

Hoping to get my son out to the range this weekend and have him give it a go. Maybe get some of the kids involved. The kid can shoot the bolt actions pretty well.

The Rifle Match ammo actually shoots better out of my Annie. I was being interrupted a lot and being pulled away from my bench all morning. Not making excuses but it is hard to get one's head into the concentration necessary when this is happening. I just think I was having a bad day in the concentration department. I'll rebound a bit. I am going to shoot my 10/22 Lightweight this Sunday. Not quite as accurate as my heavy barrel 10/22 but close. I just don't remember what ammo works best in it so I will have some trial and error at first.

Is this the rifle previously mentioned that was built to shoot the Silhouette matches? Need details and pics please

Yes, same rifle. The silohuette match does't allow a sling so I never installed one. If you want to be challenged you should try the match. It is tough. I hope I can find good ammo for it and still have time to shoot the fun shoot tomorrow. And it will be the rifle I use for next months fun shoot / rimfire challenge.

Most of the info (including pic) you will find here:

I am considering replacing the barrel with the Kidd Ultra Lightweight barrel which came out after I bought the Kidd Lightweight barrel. If I don't do that I will build another rifle using the Kidd receiver as well as the Ultra Lightweight barrel. I don't have room in my safe though.....  :shake: :shake: :shake:

Very nice rig. We really need to shoot together sometime.

I shoot at the Silhouette side quite a bit and have been asked several times if I was interested in shooting the matches. It's hard to me to spend the whole day at the range due to other commitments. I may give it a try soon. I do practice a little shooting off hand but not anywhere near where I would consider myself proficient. I may need to get my arse kicked to motivate me to practice more.

I was looking at the Kidd Aluminum Sleeved Barrels but couldn't justify the cost at this time. In my experience the balance of the rifle is more important than the actual weight. Of course most all .920 barrels are front heavy. I have a Savage that feels pretty good off hand, I would probably give that a go.

Hopefully as time goes on that more participate in this fun shoot. I'll be down there tomorrow. Stop by if you see me

Yes, we need to shoot together some time. Just let me know and I can save a bench for you (as long as you come by before 7:30am) or we can share my bench.

I want to shoot silhouette more often. Most of my friends don't like shooting over there. Sometime in July I will go over to the silhouette side and I'll let you know when I do.

Man, the wind was kicking up good today!!! I am thinking it was around 15-25 MPH most of the day. It was a brutal day to try and shoot .22 Rimfire Challenge!!!

Next week I am going to try shooting the Class 2 Iron sights with my 90 year old Stevens Pump Action. If I have time I will try shooting the Rimfire Challenge with my Marlin Model 60.

If my friend brings his Annie Model 54 I will try the Rimfire Challenge with that gun as well.

Oh, and I might try shooting the grand prize (Heavies Pistol Frame) with the one shot challenge!!!!!!!

Anyone who was there today knows how impressive these targets are. The wind was gusting heavy from R to L and swirling back around from L to R. I was holding a full 2 mils at some points. It was a nightmare to judge the wind today. The few flags that I saw was dancing all day. My target looked like somebody shot it with a shotgun and then threw some rocks at it.

I'm at the silhouette side on Sunday mornings pretty regularly than move over to the rifle side after the crowd dies down.
