Abandoned Wind Farms

Totally Not gun related.

While on my Road Trip, I saw the wind farms at Tehachapi Pass.

A real blight on the landscape.

Got me thinking and then I found this article:  http://www.moonbattery.com/archives/2010/02/skeletons-of-windpower.html

14,000 Abandoned wind turbines.  Some in Hawaii.

I was wondering what had happened to the ones in Kahuku and elsewhere.

Died a quiet Death.  More money sent down he drain.  So much for Green......

Green is being used as an excuse to funnel tax dollars to cronies. Betcha you wouldn't see all that waste if power were left to the free market.

I think HECO is to blame for this one.  They can't handle the power surges, so the wind farms can't operate lol.
