I don't get this? If things are so bad here why isn't there a mass exodus of blacks out of the country? To let's say Africa. Oh wait, they have it worse there. Well, then let's say any Arab nation. Oh, I guess they would have it worse there as well. So how about any where in Europe? Too much trouble I guess? Or maybe the racism is worse over there? Oh, I know, they should all go to Russia where there is more prejudice. Hmmm, maybe that is not such a great idea. I know, Asia. Like maybe China or North Korea. Or how about South Korea or Japan?

Where else in this world is there the LEAST amount of prejudice than the U.S.? The problem is there is no less prejudice country in the world than the U.S. And if you think there is you are fooling yourself. This country is not perfect by a long shot. But we were a lot better before Osama Bin Obama took over. Things have definitely gotten worse since he took control of the reins for minorities. Especially blacks. Even Obama himself in a recent speech admitted that the African American population is not better off than since he took over.

I say don't look a gift horse in the mouth. We still have a ways to go but not as far as other countries.

If you want to ask a better question, how about, "Are there any classes or groups being systemically oppressed in the US?"

My answer would be, "Yes, everyone who either gives or takes to/from the government tax system." 

The Congress, President and staff, Supreme Court -- these are the "ruling elite" in this country.  WE PAY THEM while they enforce more and more oppressive taxes, regulations, restrictions on Constitutional rights, political correctness, and above all, the massive debt our nation collectively has to pay interest on -- forget paying it off before any of us die!

I'm oppressed when I pay more in taxes than I am allowed to save to make sure I can afford to buy a home, a car, and send my kids to college.  I'm oppressed when I can't put a sign up with the Ten Commandments in my own business that might offend customers or an employee.  I'm oppressed when I have to spend up to 4 hours on three different days to exercise my right to bear arms.  I'm oppressed when I get a ticket for $75 because my vehicle inspection on a 2 year old truck is 2 weeks past expiration.  I'm oppressed when I have to pay fees for owning a dog, bike, or home alarm system ON TOP OF all the taxes collected on my income, auto registration and real estate.

Let's face it.  If the government isn't oppressing you, NOBODY ELSE IS oppressing you!  Stop with the "I'm oppressed! You bring up something that happened to me back in the early 80's in Los Angeles. The Apartheid movement was going strong and Los Angeles had all of it's "equal" opportunity employment laws in place. I applied for a civil service position. Went through all of the tests and interviews. I received a score of 96 and was at the top of the list to be hired. Yet, they hired a minority over me. Why? Because the number 2 candidate scored a 92 and was then given 5 additional points for being a minority. So with a total score of 97 they got hired over me.

While I was pissed, I decided to make something better of myself than having a civil service job the rest of my life. I am actually glad I did not get that job as I have done much better for myself in the private sector than I would have had I stuck with civil service.

Having an oppressed underclass is useful for the powers that run this country. They can point at the victims and tell the middle class that "those people" are the problem as the ultra wealthy pick your pockets and strip away rights. For your own protection, of course.

Works the other way around for liberals, look at those rich white folk the cause of all your problems.  There will always be a "oppressed bunch" simply because their ideals/culture don't match the norm.  Or something similar.  This isn't bad.  Progressive-ism and expecting everyone to be holding hands and singing together is bad.  That's the slippery slope to communism.  The fact you can see someone and say "I want to be better"  is how society moves ahead and how capitalism works.  That's how there are successful black people.  Look at obama he didn't have a great life but worked hard to better himself and became president.  It isn't the color of your skin but the type of attitude you have.

Democrats need poor people to stay poor so they can promise more help which never comes with the next president and congress.   If the poor pulled themselves up and actually became successful, they would become conservatives.  Democrats are the luna in the plantation.
