I would suppose it would be difficult to have a structure that big on Oahu. I suppose Utah has the land mass for a large structure to have that many individual lanes for pistol, rifle & shotgun....not to mention a virtual simulator too. It's impressive.

Real impressive.  Wish KHSC would have an area to shoot all types of shotgun rounds closer than 25 yd. and not skeet only.

I know the HDF open shoot allows at the action bay but was thinking on a regular basis and weekdays.

I'm not sure why they limit shotguns to slugs on the rifle range.  Bird and buckshot shouldn't be ricochet hazards.

Indoor rifle and skeet ranges make more sense on the mainland where shooting may be limited in the winter cold and summer heat.

My thoughts on bird and buck shot.
At 50 yards it peppers the target frames to the right and left of yours. If you use the 25 yard spots on the extreme right for the BP shooters it still will go around your target. I don't think it's because it's a ricochet hazard it's so you don't shot up others targets and frames.
