Frankford Arsenal Vibra Prime review......
« on: January 28, 2017, 03:47:44 PM »
Ordered a Frankford Arsenal Vibra Prime from Gander Mountain last week and it was delivered today. Pretty simple to get used to and it does as advertised pretty quick (sure beats the Dillon primer pick up tubes). Primer flip/feed tray does a nice job flipping the primers over as well as feeding the primers into the supplied small/large drop tube (uses a pin like the Dillon to hold the primers in the tube). Fitting the primer feed tray into the vibrator "gun" took a little bit of effort and was real tight. Cleaned up the casting residue and it slipped in much easier. Same goes for the drop tube latch (this prevents the primer tray from slipping out and directs the primers down the tube). After a few twists and locks, it slipped nice and snug with minimal effort. Turned on the tool and 100 primers took about 30 seconds to load into the tube magazine. Thew last primer to go into the tube might hang anvil side up but a couple of taps sent it on it's was. From there you transfer the primers to the reloaders primer magazine via a small clear plastic rubber tube attached to the Vibra prime tube on one end and the machines primer tube on the other. Pull the pin and they slide easily into the reloader primer magazine. No fuss no muss. The entire evolution, from start to finish took about two minutes.
All in all I think it was a good investment and time saver. Only time will tell how it holds up. Heck for $59.00 delivered I can't go wrong....  :D

I have the second gen one. Common among both versions was the flashing. It would be awesome if they could have precision plastic parts but that would add to the cost.

Yup...I got the gen 2 as well. Took an exacto knife and a fine flat file to tweak it....
