Is the Democrat Party done?
« on: February 25, 2017, 08:05:27 PM »
After a very divisive election for the new DNC chairman, with Keith Ellison as the front runner, the Democrats decided on Tom Perez by a vote total of 235 - 200.  Then Perez appointed Ellison as his Deputy.

The DNC is already starting this new administration adopting the same divisive messaging that helped Trump win the Presidents and over 1,030 Republicans defeat Democrats for Governor, State Legislature, and Congressional seats.

It appears the DNC still believes in their ideology and identity politics.

President Trump took time out of his Saturday to congratulate the winners ....

Maybe it's better the Democrats don't start believing they are through.  If they woke up, they might actually do something positive and become a challenge to Republicans again!

No and it would be a mistake for us to underestimate the left and to assume that the Dems are finished.

My fear is that with the assistance of the left wing propaganda press, they will gain even more supporters.  They already demonize every utterance that comes from the administration, whether legitimate or not.  This is already fooling many many low information people.

Every thing people see and read is saying bad.

Was just reading about the Perez clown this morning, he fits right in with the new facist democrat party:

Perez told investigators that white people were not entitled to protection under the Voting Rights Act according to a report from the Washington Free Beacon.

Yeah, and Perez immediately appointed his chief rival, anti-firearms rights Muslim Keith Ellison as his Deputy. Hang on... wild ride coming up for the next few years... not like we didn't already know that.

These things are at best short term only. In the long run almost by definition the "left" is going to win and even the conservative "right" has to make concessions and is forced to make subtle changes as well. The right does a good job attempting to support 2A but utterly fails to support 1A. Thus the left is being allowed to brainwash college students in our public university system. Perhaps one way to stop this cycle would be to strengthen the Libertarian party or introduce an ultra-leftist party as a way to divide the votes of the left.

Dems are not done.   They are like a wounded rattler or ISIS ready to strike at anything.  They are ready and willing to eat their own.  This is why the new DOJ working with Chaffetz and Gowdy need to go after, indict and imprison Hillary, her top aides and those involved in the Clinton Foundation and CGI.  To me, the former Natl. Sec. Adv. Flynn should be working in the background investigating Obama's past up to being elected.  To me there are multiple hidden crimes in Obama's past.   While their at it, would like to see former Sheriff Arpaio aided by DOJ resources, investigating  the death, autopsy and actions of Loretta Fuddy while DOH head.  That autopsy performed 2 weeks or more after her death was strange in timing and the final summary.  Although others were present, it should have been classified as an unattended death and investigated as such.

Too many people in our country believe in the left's ideology/religion to think that the left won't be a force to be reckoned with, going forward. And as all these violent riots continue, and the left plays the victim role which they do so well, I believe they will continuously pick up sympathizers.

With all this said I also believe that a higher percentage of democrats vote over republicans. Personally, I believe that conservative America got fed up and came out to vote in droves for the president this year. But under most circumstances this is not the case. It seems most of conservative America is more concerned with working and family and only votes when it is convenient or when they get fed up. With these things in mind I don't believe we should ever think the democrat party is in disarray. That would be underestimating them and we stand to lose if we do. And I believe it can and will happen. Possibly even as soon as the next 2 year election comes around. JMHO

IMHO, an other problem is voter fraud and election fraud.  Those two things need to be addressed and corrected.

Cannot recall if Justice Scalia's death was handled as such.  All i remember is something about a hasty cremation at the direction of his family.

If you read up on it the Scalia death will make you go HUH?!

Autopsy was NOT ALLOWED.

There was NO medical examiner.

It was deemed UNNECESSARY and his body was taken to a morgue that was not the closest one, and quite out of the way.

Oh, he had a pillow over his head when found. Then later it was clarified the pillow was just on top of his head, Ok.....

This reminds me. Look at how many countries use the word "democratic" in their party name.

Like, DPRK.

This was posted by CNN, if you can believe it!

Progressives riled up after DNC vote

Quote
Progressive activists lashed out at the Democratic Party on Saturday after their choice to lead its national committee,
Minnesota Rep. Keith Ellison, was defeated by former Obama administration Labor Secretary Tom Perez in a tight and
unexpectedly contentious contest.

After the results were announced, angry Ellison loyalists rose from their seats in the back of the ballroom at the Westin Peachtree
Plaza Hotel and tried to shout down outgoing interim chair Donna Brazile, chanting, "Party for the people, not big money!"

"This shows that the Democratic Party didn't learn their lesson," said Alexa Vaca, an Ellison backer and supporter of Vermont
Sen. Bernie Sanders during the party's divisive 2016 primary race. "They are not going to be in touch with the people and they
are not ready to move in a new direction despite the rhetoric."

I think the best we can hope for is that the progressives and Bernie socialists split off from the Democrat party. Especially if they feel that the party no longer represents them. That was my biggest fear when the Tea Party movement started to take hold. I think the republican party is still suffering some long term effects of that. The biggest question is will they split off from the democrats? As angry and emotional as they seem I think it is actually possible. Either that or the democrat party is going to have to move in the same direction as the progressives and socialists. Which I believe will then disenfranchise the more moderate/liberal democrats. The moderates/liberals will then float towards the republican party.

Personally, I believe that, due to the new head of the DNC not being a progressive/socialist the party will not move much if at all in that direction. So the possibility of a split off from democrat party is quite possible by the snowflakes and buttercup, butt hurt progressives/socialists. I find it amazing that it is quite possible that if this split actually occurs it can help save our country from going down the socialist path. So in other words the same people who want to fundamentally change our form of government will be the same ones who save it from being fundamentally changed. All because they will be running their own candidate and splitting up the democrat votes.

Was listening to NPR this morning and they had on the DNC chair ahead of Trump addressing a combined session of the Senate (or maybe it was the House) later today.  Anyways, the DNC chair was going on and on about this policy, that policy.  Then the talk went to about how the Dems are fighting this Trump policy, that Trump policy doesn't work, etc.  Then he says something like "that's why we've seen a movement today of the strengthening of the US population to support the DNC". . .

At first, I took that as just stuff that they say to give followers or those on the fence some sort of motivation to support DNC and "join the movement".  Kind of struck me as a "the chair is against the wall" type of message to followers.  Then I started thinking, maybe they do believe the DNC is strong.

I actually do believe the DNC is strong. As long as they have the illegal alien vote and have those that are so fanatical (London?) that they will commit voter fraud and vote multiple times then they are strong. I believe a lot of that will change over the next few years and eventually they will lose a lot of the alien votes and people will be prosecuted for voter fraud. Are they stronger than the republicans? I believe if the average American got out to vote more often we would see more signs of strength from the right. The problem that I see is that most working class Americans want to go to work and then go home to their families and not get too involved. So the show of strength wanes back and forth. Otherwise I think you are quite correct in your thoughts about the DNC. They really are not that strong without the illegal votes but they believe their own lies to the point where they do truly believe they are strong.

I think the big question is how long it will take before the DNC finally wakes up and realizes that they are not as strong as they think they are? In order for that to happen they will have to admit they cannot win without the illegal vote. That won't happen anytime soon IMHO.

I guess I should have clarified (thought about it right after I hit post, but figured let it be) that I don't think the DNC is weak.  Or at least that weak.  Just that they aren't that strong and the tide has changed, or at least did enough to get Trump elected and more and more Rep winning on the state and national level.

The alien votes like you said is key as well as the poor.  Well, they need a middle and lower class to support the upper class right?  Wish I was mostly joking there, but. . .

Anyways, I was more struck by the message itself and if that was what they believe, that the tide remains in their favor or if the message was more of an attempt to show strength to their support.  I guess I shouldn't generalize, but I see many who I know who are stauch D supporters and most of them are generally pretty young and haven't really "been in the system" that long.  They tend to favor the idea of things like free education and socialized healthcare.  They are idealists and think that they are progressive, but they are many times readily molded by false pretenses.  I dunno.  Just rambling here while the caffeine kicks in. . .

Already on my second cup and I had a malasada this morning so I am  :shake: :shake: :shake:

I didn't take what you said that you thought the DNC is weak. I understood what you were saying. Sorry if my rant came across that way. The tide has definitely changed IMHO. I am just worried we will get into a frump again where the right leaning voters don't come out to vote in numbers.

I have a lot of family and friends who are of the progressive ideology/religion. And they constantly talk about how the republican party is in complete disarray and now is the time to strike and take back the presidency which they firmly believe was stolen from them. So they not only think they are the stronger party, they think the republican party is continuing to erode and will be meaningless in the near future. All the while the numbers show just the opposite. You described one of my family members pretty closely. He is not that young but he has not been in the system that long. He is a total idealist. He believes in the clean money movement. Even though all of his groups' attempts to get clean money initiatives passed thru the California legislature are being blocked by the same democrats he votes for. He describes himself as a progressive and I think he voted for Bernie but I am not 100% positive. I do agree they are molded by false pretenses. But I must admit I listen to this left wing talk radio station here in Honolulu and they honestly feel that we conservatives are the ones that are brainwashed and molded by false pretenses. It is pretty eye opening to listen to the actual other side. It takes a lot for me to not get angry at some of the things they say about us conservatives. I have to turn it off when they start talking about how bad Israel is and how they deserve to be removed from the face of this earth for the high crimes they have committed. I have family in Israel so I can't take it when they get on that subject.

I just caught myself rambling, too.... [end of rant]

New poll.  These poll takers never seem to learn.  This one has a sample that's Democrat-heavy: D+5.

If I read this right:
Trump is Hitler
Republicans are Nazis
Democrats are less liked than Hitler and the Nazis among a sample that includes more Democrats
