Aloha everyone- Thankful to be here on this Forum!
The major issue is that the Judicial Branch of Government is acting unconstitutionally- the Obama appointees in Washington, Hawaii, and Maryland are all in violation of the Law- The Executive has Legal authority over immigration Policy- the Seditious actions of these Social Justices is unquestionable. The question is, what are we going to do about it?
I am new here, but I intend to learn quickly and search for answers to  "Who, What, Where, When , & Why?" are these actions being taken and how , through the lawful application of the Constitution, We the People can effectively fight back at the Local level. Every  General election result  is determined at the County Level...  this is where the infiltration and collusion has been implemented and this is where we come in! People like you must get involved in your Precincts to identify men and women who will represent your positions and fight for your rights! Lots of work to do, but if "Delegated" properly, every issue can be addressed, our Gun rights can be restored, and our ability to resist the tyranny of our government can be strengthened! The Hawaii Republican Party is, IMHO, the best way to restore a Constitutional basis for restoration, reform, correction, and effective ACTION if we Unite! We have a President now, who is fighting for us, we must now fight for ourselves! The full force of the FEDS is circling him- he is under attack and in their "sights"- NOT GOOD!  80% of eligible Hawaiians are not participating in running their government- all we need is 20% of them to join us and "We the People" of Hawaii- the Sovereigns, the rightful "owners",  can gain control and  redirect our State, our State Legislature, and restore a Liberty based, Individually responsible citizenry. Through real Town Hall meetings, local charters, public awareness campaigns, our Constitutional Republic can be salvaged. That is what Hawaii is- one of 50 Republics, locally organized, individually empowered by our consent, under the Federal Government which has very Limited Power and Rights- the pyramid is sadly upside down- we must turn it right side up!  We owe that to our children, we owe that to ourselves, and we owe that to God, who gave us our inalienable rights! Time for Action.

My, my, my, you are new here.

So when Obama executed the exact same order against the exact same countries it wasn't "biased against Muslims", and no one (aka "progressives") challenged it in court. Trump issues the exact same order against the exact same countries and now it's "biased against Muslims"? How can the exact same law/order be two different things: legal and illegal? That's hardly how the law is supposed to work. It can't be based upon something someone once did or didn't say or do to determine the "intent". At least not in a case like this, especially where the exact same order existed previously without any problems being claimed by the same people who now say there are problems. All this does is point out the fallaciousness of the concept that the law and/or judiciary is somehow "above politics". This case, and these decisions, are purely political, and here we have the attorney against the order admitting so in court.
I hear ya and I agree.  It is my understanding that that is the crux of the arguments being heard in this case.

What you pointed out about Obama's EO being essentially the same, but all of a sudden, because it's Trump, then it's unfairly biased.  That's why I don't understand why liberals were all of a sudden up in arms about the EO.  I'd have to go back and check, but it was my understanding that it goes back to like the 60s.  When robtmc and mrgaf were partying up at Woodstock.   ;D

My, my, my, you are new here.
That was six weeks ago. That was the person that you quoted about the "new" Republican party being established on Oahu. I quoted her and Kulbis extensively and provided a few quotes so people could see the basis for their action. Another week has gone by and the organization website is still down ("Sorry, we're doing some work on the site. Thank you for being patient. We are doing some work on the site and will be back shortly.") after being accused by the official Hawaii Republican Party as fraudulently using the url "oahugop.com" and appearing as if they were some official organization of the Republican Party. When can we expect an update?

To begin with, I believe that Trump's Muslim ban will eventually become lawful by SCOTUS next year because those are the powers given to the President by Congress. If the Dems get Congress back next year, then all bets are off. Technically, Obama did not issue an EO on the seven countries but instead required additional interviewing (aka extreme vetting)  at the immigration office in the Visa Waiver Program. That's the difference as I understand it.

There is no "Muslim Ban."  That is a Liberal lie and talking point term.

It's a ban on immigrants from 7 specific countries irrespective of religion.

The difference is not as you understand it.  The judges that stopped the EO used Trump's statements from the campaign to assign "intent", even though the wording of the EO is not the same as the intent they are claiming.

These are Activist Liberal Judges.  You should not spend too much energy analyzing their rationale.  They are wrong on the law.  Period.

Definition of Trolling.

You don't really want to get that label here.  It puts in the company of a few, shall we say, irritating individuals on this forum.

So I get a yellow card for annoying you?

First, you haven't annoyed me.  I do shake my head many times at the misinformation and BS you post here, but at least you're not playing devil's advocate like some we know.

Second, I do have a yellow card for you.  It used to be white, but my cat decided to add some color.

Therefore, as far as the card goes, urine luck! :geekdanc:

Oh lil flappy we all know how you view the world.  Your view of the world is how the world is.  If you think the earth is flat then everyone else is fake news.  You remind me of trumps bad side.  Probably got it from worshiping trump too much.

SCOTUS knocks the Hawaii progressive socialist attorney general and his lackey judge on their asses.  I love how the mainstream progressive media (huffpo, ny times, cnn, et al. describe this as "watered down", "partial", etc.... yeah, if you are related or otherwise significantly connected to an American citizen you can get in, if not, i.e. you are part of the vast majority of immigrants from the listed countries, you may not enter).

"An American individual or entity that has a bona fide relationship with a particular person seeking to enter the country as a refugee can legitimately claim concrete hardship if that person is excluded,” the court wrote. “As to these individuals and entities, we do not disturb the injunction. But when it comes to refugees who lack any such connection to the United States, for the reasons we have set out, the balance tips in favor of the Government’s compelling need to provide for the Nation’s security.”

Heard the SCOTUS thing this morning on the radio.  Still need to read into more detail, but seems like at least a temporary win.  The report mentioned that it was a reinstatement until the (whomever) can take it up to a higher level.

It's a travel pause.  90 days?  Hell, I have friends that have been waiting something like 10 years!

I've always knew that SCOTUS would agree, at least partially for now.

"The Supreme Court's actions mean much the travel ban can be enforced for the next several months, at least until the justices hear the case when their new term begins in the fall.

Monday's ruling means the travel ban "may not be enforced against foreign nationals who have a credible claim of a bona fide relationship with a person or entity in the United States,” the court wrote. So the ban cannot be applied to visa applicants who have a close relationship to a family member in the U.S. or who want to come here to study or accept a job offer.

But the ban can now be enforced against all other visa applicants in the six affected countries.

"For example, a nonprofit group devoted to immigration issues may not contact foreign nationals from the designated countries, add them to client lists, and then secure their entry by claiming injury from their exclusion," the court wrote."

Democrats, of course.  National security is way down on their agenda if it is there at all.

And Chin admitted that the ban has no effect on Hawaii's citizens.
http://www.hawaiinewsnow.com/story/35751625/chin-travel-ban-ruling-acts-as-compromise

“The good news for people who are here in Hawaii is that for our individual plaintiff Dr. Elshikh, his mother-in-law is not blocked by this travel ban at all, as well as for the University of Hawaii students who were admitted to join UH in the fall and all the faculty members who were concerned about whether they could travel back and forth,” Chin said.

So why all the hoopla?

Yup. Token gestures for many reasons. Free publicity. Appearance of "working" for constituents. All for appearance.

Not that I want to rub their prejudiced incompetence in the faces of AG Chin and his lackey judge Watson as well as the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals... oh, wait... yes I do... here is a brief article doing just that. My regret and great frustration is that there are no consequences of any kind for these usurpers of the law who get away with violating their oath of office without the slightest repercussion to them or their careers while they continue to violate the Constitution.... just like those who violate our right to bear arms. Those of us who would act in accord with our natural rights and fundamental individual enumerated Constitutionally-protected civil rights... we face jail for doing so.  >:(

Trump-hating circuit courts get a rude awakening

http://www.americanthinker.com/blog/2017/06/trumphating_circuit_courts_get_a_rude_awakening.html

The Ninth Circuit, later joined by the Fourth Circuit, decided (illegitimately) to put President Trump in his place, broadly rejecting his temporary suspension on travel from six Muslim-majority states – Iran, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen – that had previously been designated by the Obama administration as terrorism risks.

In an example of "what goes around comes around," the Supreme Court, in a per curiam – that is to say, unanimous – decision, gave the appellate courts their comeuppance, allowing President Trump's travel bans to be in effect as "against foreign nationals abroad who have no connection to the United States at all."

What next from the left: demands that the Supreme Court be impeached?
