Do you have a storefront or business that you can operate out of?

Which type? Or what number?
There's a link to the C&R one on here somewhere. I forget which thread. Submitted my papers for that one.

I know guys here that do it out of there house here. Is that a violation? I'm not to clear on the rules with it. If someone can break it down for me I would appreciate it. I would ask the local FFL guys here but I would catch flack from them.

If they are an 01 out of the house, they were grandfathered in. New ffls need a business location (non-residential).

New FFL's are required to have a storefront, older guys are grandfathered in to do it out of their house.

I think you have to show that you have the necessary storage and intend to run a business nowadays.

I've got a Type 03, and it rocks!  Guns delivered straight to my doorstep!!  Catalog and internet orders without FFL transfer fees!!!

The "new" rules for Type 01 do preclude home businesses.  You've got to actually run a gun store.

I don't think there are any Type 02 in Hawaii, since pawn stores here don't carry guns.

When I get an office for my business, you can bet I'm going to get a 01 / 03 FFL.

Ok heres another question. What is considered a place of business? cause I know a lot of people that run there business from home. or out of there car even. I'm assuming that its a place for commercial business..

Funtimes, you don't need a place of business for a Type 03.  Just a home address!

Ok, but isn't a c&r for bringing in old guns for collecting? You can't order any new models of guns right?

true, but a 01 isn't for collecting, its for being in the business, not for getting modern firearms at reduced prices.
Relax, I've banned myself..

Well, it doesn't say "..keep and bear and sell arms," now does it?
I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.
