Batteries by Mail
« on: May 01, 2017, 02:04:48 PM »
Was looking to stock up on CR123 Lithium batteries for my weapons lights and tactical handheld lights (Fenix).

Rather than buy 2-packs at  $6+, I found a retailer online with Energizer retail blister packs of 12 each for $19.95 ($1.66 per battery).

I ordered 2 packages, and shipping was $6.50 to cover flat rate USPS postage.

Ordered April 27, and a small flat rate box arrived today (May 1).  Batteries are as advertised, and work in my Streamlight TLR-1s weapon light.

It's difficult to find anyone willing to ship Lithium batteries to Hawaii, so I thought I'd share.   :shaka:

Thanks Flapp !

I was having the same problem.
Just ordered 3 dozen (3 packs) to get the free shipping.
(Wanted to see if they would actually ship free to Hawaii.)

Hope they get here before the upcoming GTG so I can set someone up with a deal.
$20 for 12 is awesome.

Thanks Flapp for this recommendation. I have a couple of garage door remotes and they take one expensive battery ($16 at Radio Shack) that I cannot find any where else close to my house. Had to go into Honolulu to Battery Bills otherwise and they were $10 there. They also take 2 more common variety that I could find at Longs for $8 for a package of 2. So I checked out your website and the expensive batteries are $4 each and the common batteries at $2 each. I placed my order for $36 plus $6 shipping. I got enough batteries to replace my remotes four times.

I always keep spares so I had enough batteries to fix my wife's remote this morning. Anyway, saved me a lot of money and a lot of trouble. Thanks!

another alternative I found for everyday devices is to power it with a linear regulator so I'm not stuck using exotic batts. I have a sealed lead batt that I solar charge in the day and use a 5 volt buck to charge my tablets and phones at night. I also have a bunch of LiPos

FYI.  The Energizer 12-pack CR123A are no longer on that website.  Duracells are running $24.95 for the same 12-pack versus $19.95.

Don't know if that's a temporary thing, or not.
