Okay, I figure I'd start a Comey Memo thread. Here goes...

So the NYT reported that their anonymous source read a partial excerpt of the Comey memo to their reporter over the phone. That is their basis for this story.  :wtf: :wtf: :wtf:

However, it seems like this story has some legs to it. If it is true, then it really depends on how the memo is worded as to whether it comes up to the level of obstruction. If Trump asked Comey for a favor and never tried to impede the investigation it does not rise to the level of obstruction. But if he asked Comey to stop as more of a demand then it rises to that level. Especially if there is some evidence he tried to impede the investigation. Which, BTW Comey has stated publicly that Trump has never tried to impede the investigation. We also need to verify that the memo was not written AFTER Comey was fired as a way to get retribution. And we need to find out why Comey didn't out Trump when it occurred rather than holding on to it. These are all legitimate concerns and we need to see the memo to make sure it is legit. And we need to hear from Comey himself. These are all the facts that I have been able to gather up so far without putting in my own opinions.

IMHO The left is going to throw around the I (Impeachment) word and stir up emotions and hysteria (especially in the millennials and progressives) in order to do as much damage as they can to Trump. Even if there is no laws broken or it turns out to be fake news again. The right is going to try and play off Trump's request as him acting like a buffoon and not understanding the ramifications of what he did.

Any other comments? Please, if you are going to make stuff up or just reprint what you see and read in the left and right media please state this is what you are doing. Please do not parrot news sources as providing facts when we have little to no facts at the moment.

This, and all the other "news" stories re Trump's illegal/unethical/boorish/nonMarxist actions will soon become irrelevant, as the Weinsteins announced yesterday that they are funding Michael Moore's new "documentary", due out in July, which Moore has said will immediately and directly result in the impeachment of Trump.

I agree. I just saw a list of 16 hysteria fake news articles written by the MSM since Trump took office. None of which they even talk about any more. For instance, where is all the racism they said that Trump was going to bring to the country? Why are the MSM not pointing out each and every racist comment and action he makes/takes?

If MM has enough real evidence to Impeach Trump right now he should come forward with it instead of trying to make a few bucks off of hysterical millennials, progressives and MAWWS.

this is all about people who didn't vote for Trump crying and STILL crying.
I think it is sour grapes and shameful for Hillary to start a PAC relating it to "the resistance" Is it a veiled attempt to overthrow a govt.?
Imagine the roles reversed and Trump did something like that. MSM would paint him as a lunatic. But its OK for Crooked Hillary!

Moore has never shunned extreme hyperbole (okay, and outright lying) in both the "documentaries" themselves and in promoting them. I guess he figures "What's a couple more months of Trump, he can't get anything done anyway, compared to me acquiring millions more dollars?"

As for the racism, please note Trump's academy-award-deserving performance here with a group of black school children, as he appears to not only not be racist, but actually genuinely be friendly toward them:

If they want to bring "the" Comey memo in the game, they also need to require Comey to release ALL his memos as FBI director especially those from the HRC interrogation about her classified info violations, meetings as to why certain flagged terrorists/murderers such as Omar Mateen were not thoroughly investigated, and meetings with Loretta Lynch and Obama.   If DJT is to be brought up for impeachment or charged with obstruction of justice, then Lynch, the Clintons and Obama should be also investigated and indicted for obstruction of justice.   In the meantime DJT needs to get hot with filling as much federal judge positions as possible.

I never liked Moore, especially after his sensationalized Sicko movie.

I wish we could see more of this but gets avalanched daily with scandals, real or imagined. Seriously, he needs to stop tweeting, stop meeting with the Russians, and start doing more outreach like this. One meeting with interracial children is not enough to override weeks and weeks of perceived impropriety. 

Inspector is right. There is no direct evidence of obstruction of justice, and the Dems need to stop crowing impeachment because it ain't gonna happen while the Reps are in charge of Congress. I'm posting the following video because I think the professor is being impartial but apologize if you believe otherwise.

That was extremely difficult for me to watch bloviating ideologue "morning joe" ramble on with a half-truths-and-lies-of-omission-filled two-minutes-long "question", which amounted to "When did you stop beating your wife?", only to be told by the law professor, apologetically, in completely euphemistic terms which he "knew would be unpopular", that "morning joe" was full of shit.

Looks like Mika is dictating morning joe's haircut.  :rofl:

Don't forget the Weiner/Huma classified on a laptop investigations.  The Snakes on a Plane situation (Lynch & Bill Clinton) should also have been looked into, but I know it never was.  That was obstruction more than anything Trump might have said!

If this memo was written 3 months ago as reported, then Comey is guilty of a crime.  He had a duty to tell the DOJ since it's a crime to obstruct the FBI's investigations.

Obstruction -- you know, like deleting 33K+ government emails and using Bleach Bit on the server and all copies each lawyer might have had.

Also there should be some Comey memos regarding the Seth Rich killing (Arkancided) , especially with renewed interest investigating his ties to WikiLeaks, prior to his assassination in DC. 
Hopefully everyone will get what they asked for, in some cases in spades.

Sorry wasn't aware that a president trying to stop an investigation of wrong doing by his staff is something positive to look at.  I mean Watergate must of made your year sorry it turned out so bad.  I know you were rooting for nixon.
