More updates.
Yesterday the Young Americans for Liberty club from UH Manoa came out to the range and a bunch of us volunteered to teach them how to shoot at the silhouette range. I was hoping for 10, but only 4 actually came out to the range. We did a quick lesson in gun rights and had them shoot a bunch of guns which they enjoyed. Thanks to all of the volunteers who made it happen, most of them are on here More were supposed to come out, but I might have scared them away when I put in the prohibitions to possess disclaimer. This at least gets me a foothold at UH Manoa and some credibility when I talk to other groups.
Next project is with the HPU Student Veterans. I'm setting up a gun rights/military veterans seminar at Aloha Tower at the beginning of November with HRA and other groups. It'll be open to the public. Unfortunately I don't think the NRA President or other celebrity is coming down this year.
For December I'm planning a vintage rifle shoot for the HPU student vets, get them interested with the gun community and experience shooting some old rifles.
For March 2018, I'm hoping to get the NRA University to fly in and do the actual college seminars, then rent a conference room at the gun show to have various seminars there.
This one part of my bigger plan to get more communication, networking, and participation here.
