Labradar (chrono)
« on: September 10, 2017, 11:43:33 PM »
There's been a lot of interest and questions of the unit each time I go to the range. Couple of ladies there already want to get their bf or husband one for Christmas too. And others is looking into getting one. More info on the unit is on Labradar website.. http://mylabradar.com.
I've been very happy with the unit. No problems whatsoever. Easy to use. And I think it's a really good investment especially all you reloaders out there that have so many caliber up the list. Anyways, the thing I like about it is each shot gets recorded to a sd card. Which you can uploaded to the PC easily. And see what's goin on. For each string you create, you can also add in powder, primer, etc used and save it. Bullet weight is punch into the unit already and shows up on data. Anyways, here's a sample on one of my 5 shot group I uploaded on the PC and what it looks like.. Btw, the Labradar can pick up bigger calibers up to 100 yards. For a boat tail .223, it stops measuring at 55 yards like mines is shown. So it's showing at muzzle  first (V0) then how much it's dropping in velocity to 55 yards (V55). Though you can set what ever yards you want it to take. I left mines at default. Anyway, the bigger the projectile, the farther it'll pick up. But, will always catch at muzzle regardless..

Will it work at the pistol range where the next shooter is only about 3 ft. away from you?

Yes.. Trigger sensitivity can be set from withn 12" or less from unit. Or 18" or less from unit. Anymore then that will not trigger. Can be used indoor range too..

...
I was curious about beam width, but apparently it is pretty narrow and only activated for the duration of the shot.

Larry also bought one. He said it's his birthday and Christmas present to himself.

Yea I meet Larry last weekend. He couldn't get his unit to pick up the blast on his muzzle first time use. So when I got there, RO ask me if I could help. Got it to work on both of his rifles. Seen him yesterday again,, and now his very happy with it.
