With all this rain what do you use? I have a coverall and jacket. It's good but with the amount of rain lately got me thinking.  My boots have Goretex but my gear is just plane ole PVC suits from ACE or WALLY'S. SO WHAT'S YOUR OPINION ?

bah all I get is trash bags wit holes cut out keh?

Nah lol I get one fancy waterproof jacket, and two water-resistant long pants. I also keep a el cheapo poncho in my backpack for those heavy days that the rain might soak through my backpack (I bike to work every day). Speaking of which, I have a detachable rear fender that keeps the water from soaking my ass and back as well as the bottom of my bigass backpack. No front fender though, so dirty street water and sticky debris still finds it's way onto my face-chest-arms =O(.

i have a TAD gear explorer jacket.  I don't think this thing is water proof, but the DWR is holding up real nice.

I just picked up a 5.11 Tactical Hi-Viz parka.  It was supposed to be for work, but I take it mostly for when I go fishing.  It has a removable fleece liner too for added warmth.  That part of the jacket usually gets given to the missus cause she gets cold.

Reminds me of this fishing tournament I participated in by hopping aboard a client's boat along with a couple of other co-workers. It was a rainy day and nobody brought jackets. Right before hopping aboard, I asked the janitor of the yacht club for a garbage bag and cut some holes for my head and arms. Everyone laughed and got a kick out of my hobo rain suit. Needless to say, I was the only one dry and smiling on the way in to the harbor some 10 hours later.

Garbage bags. Chicks dig it, men fear it.

I just realized that I've never owned a rain jacket.

I have a standard yellow rain suit and a pair of rubber boots I got from Safety Systems. I have not used the rain suit since I moved to Oahu from Hilo. I work outside in the rain and have not felt the need to put it on since I moved here. Not that much rain here as in Hilo. The rubber boots (on the other hand) I have used quite often when it gets too muddy for my boots.

Frogg Toggs.  I bought them for motorcycle rain gear, and have since also used them for "everyday" rainwear.  Using the jacket a lot this week!

Whoa, the Frogg Toggs held up to motorcycle wear and tear? That's a welcome surprise. I though about getting a set for my bike, too, but passed because I figured the wind stress would kill that lightweight fabric quickly. Might have to head back to Sports Authority...

Nope, they're champs!  Do be careful of your pipes, as the pants don't have any heat shield, but they are amply durable.  And they pack pretty small!  Always the bottom layer in my backpack (except when I'm wearing them)
