Today's media misdirection message:

Six months ago, Trump did not fire Mueller.

But, he wanted to!

OMG!  Impeach Trump now!

Economy in Q4 grew 2.4%.

So much for 4% growth. Didn't even come close in a single quarter. Not only that, but growth was due to an increase in consumer spending. But here's the thing, wages didn't keep up so the savings rate fell substantially. Basically people are buying more, but on credit cards.

And someone here thinks we're hitting 5% next year. Rofl. That's right up there with Mexico paying for the wall.

You're right! It's a total unmitigated disaster! Trump should resign! Then, like that one talking head suggested, all the people in the line of succession should resign until the last person who then in some manner relinquishes the presidency to its rightful heir, Hillary Clinton. THEN things will pick up! Go Hills! I can hardly wait!

And? Trump is supposed to be the amazing businessman. Politically incorrect but "gets it done."

Actions speak louder than Twitter tirades.

The Senate doesn't have a bullet proof majority, hopefully, after November, there will be better progress.

I think we all should start to look at reality here. First of all, any economic incentives take time to take effect. Not one quarter or two. But at least a year or two. Historically this is fact not fiction. The only reason the economy started taking off after trump became president is because of consumer optimism and business optimism. Just knowing that Trump is reducing regulations and got a tax reduction bill passed is obviously enough to get things revved up. But the meat of the economic stimulus has not even really been felt yet. Based on past history, 2.6% (Current 4th quarter results) is not bad. I would have taken that all day long if that was the way it was every quarter during the Obama years. So comparatively speaking we are doing excellent. Especially so early into Trump's presidency. There is absolutely nothing that anyone can complain about. Unless you are trying to hold campaign promises to Trump. Which trying to hold campaign promises to any politician is ludicrous. I just wish everyone would do the same to Obama. In which case he would look like a much bigger shithole than Trump. At least at this point in time.

Here is the thing. The tax bill has not even really started trickling down yet. It is going to take at least a year before we see any real results from it. The regulations that were lifted also take time as now businesses are just starting to figure out how to better do business under less regulations. I would guess at least a year or more be fore we really see any real benefits showing up. So anyone expecting more from all Trump has done at this point is unrealistic at best.

Historically speaking, even President Reagan's first year or two of economic stimulus didn't really take hold until at least a year and for some items closer to two years before we saw any real results. So expecting Trump to do something no human is actually capable of is once again unrealistic at best.

Here's my point. Trump rubs a lot of people the wrong way. His supporters in his defense say it doesn't matter because he gets things done. You can't have it both ways.

If he's here to stir things up then that's fine but on the flip side he doesn't get a pass on non-performing. You can't say he's great because he's not a traditional politician and in the next breath provide typical excuses given by politicians.

He said he was hitting an economic goal. He fell short. Way short. Why is that bad to point out? He wants to be a binary president. He's a genius, he's the best, things will be so much better. He tells us this every day so yeah I'm going to question when he doesn't live up to promises. Don't quote me one year stock market gains if that's not enough time for his policies to take hold. His first year counts or it doesn't. That's binary.

Past presidents are irrelevant. He was voted in because he was different. You can't cry foul when he's treated different when that was essentially his entire platform. Nowhere did I say the economy is tanking. But you bet your ass I'm calling him out when he doesn't live up to his OWN expectations. We need to stop moving the goalposts.

Past presidents and candidates who continue to make public comments and involve themselves in opposition activities are very relevant.

Selective censorship.

I notice you left the "brainwashed" name-calling intact.

Why don't you tell us which name-calling is allowed and which isn't, and by whom and whom not? Especially when it's a sarcastic exaggerated response to the original name-caller.

You're asking the wrong people about standards.  Selective enforcement is the norm.

More MAGAnomic Winning – FedEx Will Contribute $3.2 Billion to Wage, Pension Benefits, and Capital Investment…

https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2018/01/26/more-maganomic-winning-fedex-will-contribute-3-2-billion-to-wage-pension-benefits-and-capital-investment/

(Reuters) – Package delivery company FedEx Corp said on Friday it will spend more than $3.2 billion on wage increases, bonuses, pension funding and capital investment, taking advantage of the U.S. tax overhaul signed into law in December.

The Memphis, Tennessee-based company said it would invest $1.5 billion to significantly expand its hub in Indianapolis over the next seven years and modernize and enlarge its Memphis SuperHub.

The new tax code allows companies to immediately write off the full value of capital costs, which helps make projects more financially attractive, but that benefit starts to phase out in 2023. It also permanently lowers the U.S. corporate rate to 21 percent from 35 percent.

More fake news from Reuters. Everyone knows if that was real the 4th quarter GDP would have been way higher, probably not as high as the liar Trump promised at 4%."Trump is an idiot". [Note to moderator: That is the first line of first post of this thread. When are you going to "clean up" that name-calling? It was written 25 days ago.]
