My first thought was Trump has skinny legs. But that’s just me.

This thread has over 38K views and 47 pages of comments.  To turn it into a meme war is a good way to have it stopped.

Just my opinion. :geekdanc:

Calm down Flapp. It is just one meme and no one is retaliating. On top of that the threads here rarely get shut down for such things. Someone will post something significant and the conversation will continue. As it always does. This is a good thread with good conversation. I doubt the admins will shut it down over one meme.

So what do you think is the proper response to the Saudis over the murder of the reporter?

I'm calm. I just know how rklapp is.  He has no impulse control.

I just wanted to get out in front of this before he turns it into another flame war thread.

 :shaka:

First, the media is all over this Saudi killing because they are pushing some crazy narrative that Trump is somehow complicit in it.

No matter how much they pretend to focus on the killing in and of itself, they alway lose focus and start blaming Trump and his administration.

This article has a lot of detail, but the longer you read, the more obvious their TDS becomes -- to the point where Trump is responsible for killing kids in Yemen, which they equate with Nazi death camps.

Just more fodder for the anti-Trump "he stole the election" pearl-clutchers.

So far I commend trump for playing it cool and waiting to hear the entire story and evidence before he decides how to respond. Also, I like the fact that he said he would confer with the legislature on a response. He is actually acting a little more presidential in this situation.

We’ll see how we respond. We have a tightrope to walk here.

Yeah. A 15 on 1 brawl sounds super credible.

I heard the Saudis were pissed over a despicable video the journalist posted on YouTube.

Don't believe everything you read on the Internet.

They changed their story a couple of times already. Their story is not credible. The problem is how we are going to respond to this situation. It should be as bipartisan as possible. At the same time we need to rethink a lot of our strategies if we cut off ties with them. And if we don’t, then what is an appropriate response?

I agree. I wasn’t saying that that story was credible. Just that was the latest “official gov” statement on the matter. And yes, it seems like both sides are reviewing and calling BS. Seemingly unified view, as it should be.

As for appropriate response, like many things, need to get to the bottom of things. We may never find out, may never be released “officially” or may not like the answer. Think the whole thing stinks.  Just like Benghazi. Yeah, there was plenty that the State Dept messed up, but not quite what the media made it out to be, from both sides. Ultimately, those who should have been held responsible basically moved on, unaffected.

So, you have nothing relevant or sustantive to add to the thread?

If you want to post bullshit photoshop memes, please start your own thread. This one has been going on for a very long time, and I don't want to see it locked by the mods due to standard Liberal, Trump-hating crap like this we can all find all over Social Media if we so desire.  No need to regurgitate it on this forum.
I think you're forgetting the OP of this thread. Oh, you did forget? Let me remind you...

Question for members,
Not counting the tax thing, which has been beaten in another thread, what do you think and give examples.

Don't pull me into this. (Even though I started it.)
Conversations been rolling which is what the OP intended.
Flapp the Meme King called you on a meme, the fact of which is farcical, hypocritical, comical.....
Personally  I think meme's only belong in the funny picture thread period.
They don't add anything to a conversation.

But to other members, please don't attack either side.
Both sides of the conversation are healthy.

This response to the Saudis is a tricky one.
At least it looks like the King may get back involved.

what is Trump's dealings with the Saudis and where does he stand to profit?
Because surely he stands to profit with the Saudis.
What would he have done if this were done by a "shithole country" ?

Sorry AH, not a meme but just a reminder of your OP.

Do I need to remind all that Trump declared his love for KJU (literally)? I'm not in favor of liberals but I'm dreading the shit storm that will occur next month due to the idiotic things that Trump has said or done. Stop the tweets, stop the chants, stop the idiotic comments and stop acting like a dementia patient with TP stuck to your shoe!

I have no problems with the meme's.  Even though this is a serious thread, it adds some brightness to it.  Even if it's for or against Trump.  Wish someone had an "Eiffel Tower" meme with Barry, KJU, and Trump.  That would be funny.  But the real question is who's the support beam?

Personally, I do like his tweets.  Are they presidential?  No, but he let's us know what's going on.  This is 1 reason why I support him.  If something isn't getting done due to "politics", then he has the balls to call out why.  He's a man of action and if you're not performing, then he let's us know.  Even his rallies, he calls out those who are wrong or uninformed.

He's mentioned multiple times for Shummer to come to the table and let's work on an immigration reform, but nothing.

He is  a genius.  He got Warren to take a DNA test.  It won't be long before low IQ Maxine takes an IQ test next.  But she would say " I refuse to take an IQ test, what kind of man ask an elderly woman to pee in a cup".

So what do you guys think of Trump breaking his promise to keep coverage for pre-existing conditions covered? He hasn't don'e much of anything on health care it seems but protecting pre-existing conditions was a pretty clear promise of his.

Pre-existing coverage polls quite strongly across the board even if socialized medicine does not. Trump promised to keep it but his administration now has a lawsuit which would eliminate protections for pre-existing conditions.

What does the lawsuit have to do with Trump keeping his promise? Trump is keeping his promises. I think you are mistaken. The lawsuit is against the ACA which Trump promised to dismantle. That lawsuit is helping to dismantle the ACA. So Trump is keeping his promise by dismantling the ACA. And Trump is still keeping his promise by protecting those with preexisting condition through the AHCA. I did this from memory. So if I am mistaken, I am sure you will correct me.

Trump and the legislature passed the AHCA. I don’t consider that “...hasn’t don’e much of anything on health care...” So why is the AHCA not much of anything?

I’ll have to do more research into this, but on face value, this sounds like a win to me.

President Trump said his administration and the Republican Party are working to introduce a “major” 10 percent tax cut for middle-class Americans around the beginning of November.

I met with someone today who heard Trump give a speech at an insurance conference back when he was only property management before his casinos and reality show. Back when he was a New York Democrat. He said that Trump was a genius then but now thinks himself a god and is too full of himself. IOW, dimented. Tell you what, if the GOP retains the House in two weeks (currently at 35% odds), I'll stop saying anything bad about Trump, even after Mueller releases his post election findings.

Problem, Congress is not in session so there's no one available to vote on approving a tax break for the middle class. It's possible but doubtful he can get enough back to congress a week before the election.

Did you even read the article? If you read the article, it covered that Congress is out until after the mid-term elections. It also mentioned it was proposals with understanding that it would need to be taken up when Congress returns.
