All I know is before ACA, I've been paying $121/month for years.  Following ACA, it went to just under $500.  So equilibrium my ass.  I have other friends who's rates went up way more.

So I was hoping Trump/GOP would end ACA and hoping the rates will go back down.  Or at a min, amend it so you don't get fined when doing your taxes for not having coverage.
The ACA penalty/tax has been removed. Not sure how the AHCA is going to work.

Trump says "People who throw rocks at our military.  Rocks will be treated as firearms".

Waiting to see how this will turn out.  DM's in a high tower?  Maybe with 9mm HP as to not get over penetration. So 9mm AR with scope?

Israelis use Ruger 10/22 rifles on their wall to stop Palestinians who encroach on their boarder.

Penalty removed for those who make less than $50K.  It's a start.

ACA the only product the government forced everyone to buy, or face a steep penalty.

Alec Baldwin was arrested in NYC for a physical altercation that started over a parking spot.

Waiting for the Fake News MSM to report, "Alec Baldwin, a well-known President Donald Trump impersonator and opponent, was possibly attacked by a Trump supporter..."

Talking to my wife about Trump last night. (Not recommended)

She like a high percentage of people doesn't research results and just listens to the man speak and tweet.
He's not Presidential and proud of it. (Her words)

After our "discussion" she made a good point.
If he would just not say and post his "insert word here" (bullying, divisive, idiotic, ridiculous, egomaniacal....) shit maybe people would actually look at his results.
I told her that's the beauty of his slight of hand.
A lot of the population are purely emotional and they HATE Trump. Most just because of what they perceive he says and tweets. Media Magnifies that and only that.

The division in this country that Trump brings out is not racial or economic, even though the Media wants to hit those things to hit emotional nerves, it's conservative vs. liberal.
This whole situation: Obama to Trump transition.
We're losing the center.

I consider myself a centralist.
But everyone seems to be being pushed to the edges.

P.S. What's the accurate range on a 9mm rifle with a scope? I guess at least as far as a rock.

I too am a bit of a centrist.
In the primaries I preferred other people over Trump but he was still on my radar as a possibility in the beginning. It was his mouth that was his undoing for me and I voted libertarian in the general. I think the comment about grabbing them by the pussys was really the tipping point for me, especially because he didn't do anything to improve. As a church goer, this is just not the kind of language I can condone from a man who claimed to be a christian and would be leading my country. Maybe he really does believe in Jesus, I don't know his heart, but Trump does not bear the fruit.

People who are already against republicans are going to use Trump's dumb comments against him because of course they have already made up their mind, no surprise there. But for centrists and some moderate republicans Trump's comments do end up saying them I think. For them if Trump did shut his mouth it would be much easier to recognize his accomplishments. I like to give Trump a bit of leeway because I do think he might have some sort of high functioning social disorder so when he says something that just comes out terrible I consider maybe it was poorly worded but the idea was in the right place.

Bottom line is that as the president, words matter. Sometimes I like his bucking the trend style, it is refreshing and gives hope but too often he says off the wall things that are unacceptable for a president. If Trump could shut his mouth more and stick to script maybe we would have a better chance at keeping the center because they could focus on the economic advancements, etc.

I think the equilibrium looked good in theory but the way things are playing out in reality is different. What the republicans did to the ACA certainly has worked against reaching an equilibrium,

I am actually in favor of taking steps closer to a universal health care system, but with certain limitations. It is one of the few areas I actually lean left on. I think the ACA was not a step in the right direction though, it had so many flaws.

What "theory?"  They didn't even read it before passing it.

The most massive tax scheme in US history representing 1/6th of the entire economy was passed at the 11th hour by a lame duck Democrat-controlled Congress with ZERO Republicans voting in favor of it.

If that's not a recipe for disaster, I don't know what would be.

And if that doesn't convince you, remember what Dr. Gruber said:  "lack of transparency" and the "stupidity of the American voter" helped Congress approve ObamaCare.

I'm interested to what the ROE will be at the border.  Also word is many "militia" are heading over to help also.

Can't wait for the invasion to put women and children in the front and the men behind them throwing rocks.

Can the POTUS set any ROE, or is this solely the OIC's discretion?

The President can't deploy the US military on US soil for combat missions.  He can, however, use them in support roles for the states.  Basically, Texas Governor can deploy the national guard to help control the border, and DoD troops can set up comms, logistics, provide materials, supplies, advisers, interpreters, manpower, shelters, etc.

It's been reported many times the troops would act in a support role.

"Caravan" is really trying to downplay the reality.  This is a mob.  Given the right direction by a few, they can turn destructive and violent in 2 minutes.  They displayed that already when they broke through barriers on the Mexican border.

This is likely the first time in Trump's life that he has to share power with anyone. Now he has to share it with Pelosi.  :P

You could be right, however I heard an interesting statistic today. Pelosi only has a 30% favorable rating among house representatives. It could be her time as speaker is up. Who knows? Maybe it could be some millennial?

Surprisingly Pelosi came out publicly and shot down the idea of trying to impeach Trump.

I don't like Pelosi but it is possible that when she leaves she gets replaced with a more extreme leftist which isn't going to be any better for us.

I don't actually mind that much that the Democrats took the house, it serves as a check and balance of power I think. I just wish the republican congress had done something to get CCW reciprocity passed first!
