You do realize some of the fault (and I stress only some) is due to the Bush/Obama era bailout? Part of the agreement of the bailout was that the Government provide a $7,500 incentive for the Volt to spark (pun intended) sales. The Volt was not only a dismal failure in sales, but they lost a lot of money for every Volt they sold. All the bailout did was provide huge salaries and retirement for the upper management but the biggest thing it did was to prolong the inevitable bankruptcy and restructuring and now another restructuring and closing of manufacturing plants. If the government had let GM and Chrysler fail, we would have gone into a much worse recession for a much shorter period of time. But GM would have come out of the recession/bankruptcy leaner, meaner and more profitable. The bailout just allowed GM to continue as a bloated company while the GM brass took huge salaries. JMHO

You can also blame the economy (Trump?) for some of GM’s woes. Cheap gas is hurting sales of their economy cars and increasing sales of SUV’s and trucks. GM being such a behemoth that it doesn’t respond quickly to the change in customer sales choices. Which means they will probably stop selling cheap economy cars and build up production of trucks and SUV’s and then when gas prices rise they will be caught with car lots filled with gas guzzlers. But as you pointed out this is really the fault of the GM brass.

No company is too big to fail and our Bush/Obama led government should have never offered them a bailout. We (us taxpayers) lost $11.3B on the GM bailout. Personally, I don’t think it was worth it because a poorly run company is still going to be poorly run after you infuse them with cash. The government did nothing to force them to reorganize before the bankruptcy and force the GM management to take massive pay cuts until they pay back the bailout completely. GM is restructuring because they are behind the curve in R&D and they are not making economy cars that Americans want. Ford has restructured already. And BTW, even though Ford took bailout money, they didn’t need it. They had already restructured when the bailout occurred. Ford manages their company properly. I don’t even want to begin talking about Chrysler.

While I am sure it only plays a small role in the woes I think the issues with a trade war over steel didn't help.

I agree the bailout was a mistake. The whole "too big to fail" was just a circular argument that existed anyone of responsibility that perpetuated the problem and made it worse over decades.

We've seen it with the big banks and now auto industry.  Wonder what industry will be next?  Guarantee FB is not next, Soro's targeting Zuck for not selling him majority shares.

4D chess.  Trump wouldn't have posted it unless something big was coming.  December has a lot of testimonies.  That's if people don't accidently shoot themselves in the back of the head.

Another Clinton associate dead today.  What's the body count now on the Clintons?  Even their SS have a high body count of deaths.

I know this is a satirical meme, but help me understand this. Is there a court document or an official announcement from a government agency, or are we just basing this on what Individual 1 has said about Russian collusion?

Funny how the fake news had zero coverage of N. and S. Korean soldiers shaking hands across the border in the bush, not at the DMZ.  Also little mention of the rail road on its way to being connected between N. and S.

If this were Barry's accomplishment, he would have won the noble peace prize.

I have not looked into Trumps official sources, but trust the intel Q provides.  And the fact that when Trump tweets something, it has weight to it.

This is the concern I've always had about Trump's unfiltered rhetoric.

Also, the Cohen guilty plea is a really big deal. My current prognostication is that President Trump will be reelected because the Democrat candidate will be too socialistic but the GOP will lose the Senate and the House. By 2022, we'll have the 46th President. History doesn't repeat itself, but it certainly rhymes.

I don’t get the significance of the photo you posted? Please explain it so this ignorant person can understand.

I really hate the CNN website. It took me a few minutes of waiting for the adverts to load before I could play the video you referenced. Just bitching cuz I ran out of coffee this morning.   Since you feel the Cohen guilty plea is a big deal, tell me what he admitted to? So far I can only find that he admitted to lying to congress over the Trump Tower in Russia deal. I have read that the timing of when the Trump Tower/Russia deal and Trump running for president could be suspect. I also read that due to Trump axing the deal means that he may have offered Putin something in exchange for a top floor suite. However, I also read there is no proof of this. But even if true it is the way he has done business as a private citizen. There is nothing illegal about it. It just shows that he was going to make a deal with Putin but never did. So far all I see is a nothingburger.

I have not seen anywhere what else he said. So enlighten me so the rest of us can judge whether it is a “really big deal” or not.

Sorry Dave, the only thing I'll say is that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction, thus the photo. Now Pelosi will be back in power as SOH and she's very experienced in the job. This is what we have to look forward to (or backwards) in 2019. Millions of dollars spent on legal battles which the President will eventually lose because that's what happened to his predecessors. Remember, vote Republican in 2020!

Regarding Cohen, he may turn out to be another John Dean to the Trump administration, maybe. "I began by telling the president that there was a cancer growing on the presidency and that if the cancer was not removed the president himself would be killed by it." Remember, it's not the crime, but the cover up that's important. And boy, has Trump done a lot of that... (Sorry, I'm not about to list every possible indictment in Mueller's eventual report.)

I use the AdBlock Chrome extension so don't see the ads. Many websites complain about it but can turn it off for each website.

Side topic. Was watching a video about why programmers are evil. The speaker said that most modern websites use more memory than the original release of Doom.

You're doing what the Liberals in the media and DC do every single day --

you posted a pic and an ambiguous comment thinking if you don't elaborate, people will glean what you want while you have plausible deniability when called out for making such a post.

That's the same chicken shit tactic we have become so tired of, and it's partially why Trump was elected. The Left's racist, sexist, bigoted and arrogant side is on display daily for all to see, but they retain enough wiggle room to claim "what you interpreted is not what I meant."

Bottom line -- say what you mean or keep it to yourself. These word games are counterproductive.

That makes no sense. That is true for physics, but please elaborate on how you relate that to politics? You have been posting your fear of Pelosi for a while, but no rational explanation or logical thought process.

The loss of control of the house wasn’t unexpected. Again, taking a look at the way Reps and Senators are elected, not surprising. And it’s not like Pelosi isn’t immune from strife within the D party. It’s more of an ascendency because no one else really feels that can get enough support. IMO, her being in power isn’t the worst thing as she definitely has her own problems with her party.

Agree. That's one of the reasons why I think Trump will win reelection but lose both Congress.

The balls on Trump if he attends Bushs funeral with all these people there in attendance.

Some say Bush died a few days prior and Trump knew this, hence the photo post knowing a funeral is coming. We shall see 12/5...
