Also 2 bills for the study of school security funding is tomorrow.  Try and get it amended to include armed resource officers and include the armed school defense incident that happened recently: https://2ahawaii.com/index.php?topic=30630.msg273389#msg273389

I submitted my testimony for sr73 asking them to add CCW permitting, self defense uses, and RAPBACK status to their gun study bill.  Hopefully get some good origin data from it for next years efforts.

You know zippz that no matter what "data" they might get, even miraculously or accidentally objectively researched data, that nothing will deter the long term agenda and they will proceed as planned.

Passed unanimously. With amendments. If it's like some other recently amended bills, we won't know what those amendments were for maybe a week... unless someone was there and can tell us.

I'd be willing to bet a LOT that they haven't amended it to include the statistics of how many officially disarmed Hawaii residents were crime victims outside their home and compare that to the percentage of CCW licensees in a variety of other states at least some of whom would have been able to defend themselves and prevent their own victimization.

SR73

3/22/2018   S   The committee(s) on PSM recommend(s) that the measure be PASSED, WITH AMENDMENTS. The votes in PSM were as follows: 5 Aye(s): Senator(s) Nishihara, Wakai, Baker, Ihara, L. Thielen; Aye(s) with reservations: none ; 0 No(es): none; and 0 Excused: none.

I called Nishiharas office (PSM) and the senator read the testimonies for SR73 but said it should go in a separate resolution.  The amendments were minor changes in the wording.

And he volunteered to write and submit it, correct?
