High level HPD, senators, reps, should all take a stroll alone at night in these areas to see if they feel safe.  Then come back and see if more laws need to be made or stuff like that.

Like I posted above, I go to the gym 5x a week so I see the area a lot. Not just drive by and notice, but have to actually walk at 10pm.  So have the people above walk not once, or twice, but consistently so we can get their feedback.

I say high level HPD, because the patrol guys know what's up because they see/work with it everyday.

All these high level politicians enjoy freedoms average citizens don't have. Armed security and for LE, the right to carry a firearm.

I thought there used to be some sort of HPD office or something on the ewa side of the park.  It might have been replaced by Fisher.  Or maybe it was just mauka of Fisher.  I recall seeing a bunch of squad cars parked there, but that was many years ago.

there was a library office where fisher was, and they had an area for HPD to hang out and write reports, I believe

Ahh. Gotcha.

One of my buddies used to patrol Ala Moana beach park on ATV.  They had a nice A/C office that was pretty close to the beach that they used to write their reports.

When I get to the gym, I see them sometimes in the Fisher lot.  And I also see the bum smoking Ba2 down the street with HPD in the Fisher lot.  But when I go back to my car later that night, no HPD around.  They do drive by occasionally, but that's only being there for a few seconds.  So any crime will just take place once they drive off.

Can our law makers create a law that says public property cannot be left on the sidewalk?  They came up with the bump stock bill very quickly...Unless the ACLU is being a PITA, that's why no laws were created.

There is a law about property being stored on public property, but the ACLU sued the city and won when the city would show up and start throwing stuff away.  Now the city has to give advanced notice of a sweep, give people time to move their stuff, inventory what theyre taking, and store it for 45 days before disposing of it.  Also, the city is only allowed to take certain things.
