What 22lr to get?

In limbo between a Neo and mark 3.  Like the neo cuz can convert to a carbine and cheaper.  Any inputs?

I believe you mean Neos.

Is the carbine the only deciding factor? Cuz I got a Neos, but not for the carbine option. I originally thought the carbine would be cool to get but then realized for the price of the carbine kit you could pretty much buy a rifle and have 2 guns instead of 1 that converts, so not really worth it in my opinion. However, the price of a new Neos at $250 is hard to beat and I got it cuz I like it.

When choosing a gun, the most important thing is how it feels in your hands and that you like to shoot it. If you haven't already done so, you should go to a gun store and hold both to see which feels better. Or even better, shoot both if you can arrange it. You'll know instantly if you don't want one. Some people do not like the angle of the Neos grip and the placement of the slide lock.

Based on my Neos buying experience, OGC and Gun Source are the only stores that stock it regularly.

The Mark III is a great gun.

I have a couple and absolutely love them.

I also have a Mark I & a Mark II and have never had any problems with any of them for many, many years now.

Same here...I, II, & III.  Always reliable and fun to shoot.

I was thinking long and hard about getting a new .22 pistol and looked at the Browning Buckmark, and the Beretta Neos. I decided that they just had too much alloy and plastic for me, so I found a Colt Woodsman on Auctionarms.
It depends what grip angle you like. If you like the Luger grip, go for the Neos or the Ruger. If you like a Colt 1911 grip angle, take a look at the Browning Buckmark. I have fired a friend's Ruger with a heavy barrel, and it shot very well.

I called OGC recently and a black Neos was $299. Young Guns has a stainIess in stock for about $340, IIRC.

Ruger MKII, MKIII Competition slabside, Browning Buckmark Contour 7 1/4". Other .22 worth looking into, Ruger Super Single Six, this a fun gun.

If you want to shoot my Mark III or Mark II, you're welcome to. I also have a 22lr revolver that's hella fun too.

mark III will last you a lifetime.  Cons are it's a little hard to break down initially. (take apart to clean)

Have you considered the Ruger SR22?

I didn't see it mentioned here, but what about the Ruger 22/45?  Mimics the 1911 grip angle.

Thats my next gun.  I gotta call some of the stores to see how much they are.

When I was Neos shopping, Young Guns said they haven't had one in stock for over a year and people haven't been asking so they didn't plan on bringing any in. I guess that's changed since cost of shooting is going up and 22 demand is growing. I got a black one in January for $250, not from either of those places, didn't care for the Inox look.

Sounds good to me. I got a Neos and M&P 15-22.

Or get a Ruger 22/45, best of both worlds.

A Ruger Charger of course. >:D.  But that's just me.  I would also check out the S & Ws.  They shoot real well.  I do love my MK II slab side target model.  Bought it to compete with my friend's son who always out shoots me.  Slim

You'll love this, slim.

Hawaii has outlawed the Ruger Charger.

It fits into their "assault pistol" category.

Hahaha, sad but true.

I realize its not a pistol, but my Henry Frontier is one of my favorites to shoot.  Don't know what it is, but something about that lever action makes it more fun to shoot than my Single-Six.
