Trump said theyre about 2-3 weeks away from finalizing.

We better be getting something out of this (reciprocity).

I'm pretty sure we all know what we will be getting out of this. My only hope is that it comes with a large amount of lube. Because there's not going to be a single thing we want. Thanks NRA.

EDITED to add the quote from and link to the NRA statement, in case people forgot:

"The NRA believes that devices designed to allow semi-automatic rifles to function like fully-automatic rifles should be subject to additional regulations."

For Hawaii county, as of letter dated September 11, 2018 from the Office of the Corporation Counsel: None turned in, None confiscated. As I wrote elsewhere, that means, assuming that at least one such device exists in Hawaii county, that the compliance rate is 0.00%. I think we all feel a lot safer now.

So how many felons are out there today? How many have been turned in? Nationally...

The Supreme Court has refused to issue a stay on it

The manufacturer had to turn in the ones they had in stock.  I bet that number gets used to spin how well the ban worked in the media

Did you guys see the original prototype?

An interesting note from Ammoland.com and their coverage of the GOA lawsuit

AmmoLand Editors Update:
Reminder – There Is A Way To Keep Your Bump Stocks While The Lawsuit Works Its Way Through The Courts

There is a stay in place for select group of people and this might be an option for you if you still have your bump stock.  From a previous alert:

One of the other groups fighting the ban, the Firearms Policy Foundation, was able to get the DC Circuit Court of Appeals to apply a stay to their members only.  The good news is that you can join the Firearms Policy Foundation for as little as $1 and be covered by their blanket stay.  Click here for more information (many thanks to member Grover Stell for this information):

That's because, according to a new interpretation of several words of the English language by the BATFE, a bumpstock IS a machine gun.

A piece of plastic, with no moving parts, is a machine gun. Sure it is. That makes sense. Only in an Orwellian idiotworld.

Well, no one needs to really "lose" them, since no one knows if anyone has one.

I suspect one option for Hawaii legislators bent on totally destroying our rights was to require registration of already possessed (and newly acquired) bump stocks... but they knew no one would do that so they banned them.

Four were turned in in the entire state. All the rest were either destroyed or shipped out of state (now, to another country)... because no one does anything illegal, especially when traitors infringe what shall not be infringed. We must obey what the fascists dictate. Or else.

And one can't "lose" what one never had. How many of these were manufactured vs sold vs truly destroyed/thrown away/etc.?
