Just stop dude. Disengage. It gets easier when you do.

all things considered, I think she did not-too-bad with 33%.  I think that's a respectable showing for a snowballs chance in hell.

Agreed. If she runs again I will donate to her campaign again.

Trolls don't stop until after they've had the last jab -- in hopes they can goad you into continuing to entertain them by reacting to their deliberate button-pushing comments.

That troll in particular has a long history of needing to have the last word.

Hawaii GOP lost by largest margin since statehood

When Republican state Rep. Andria Tupola lost to Gov. David Ige by nearly 29 percentage points in last week’s general election, it was the most dramatic drubbing in a gubernatorial race in state history….

The election results were particularly startling because Ige appeared so politically vulnerable at the start of this year’s campaign that many thought he would be ousted….

What you guys think Tupola will do next?  Run for her old seat again in 2020 or change careers?

While I held out all hope, I had no vision of anything turning out differently than it did. Tupola is a RINO even though she is supposedly pro 2A. Ige was not hated as much as some thought. He is like Obama, he talks a great game but with no real substance.

I think the final coffin nail has been started (ie using property taxes to pay for the rail). When property taxes are taken away from one service (like police or fire) to pay for the rail, that service will suffer. And the rail is a huge expense that I feel the C&C cannot afford without raising taxes. In order to pay for those services and the rail, taxes will have to be raised. I believe the cost will be so high that they will have to raise both the GET and property taxes. I see something suffering here since I don’t believe they can (or are willing to) raise taxes enough to cover all expenses. Raising taxes is usually a death sentence for the politician. Borrowing (issuing municipal bonds) will become rampant lowering the credit rating of Honolulu. The cost of repaying those loans will go up significantly. So they will raise taxes small amounts at a time. Unless the state steps in to fund some of the rail, which I believe they will to some extent, to help prolong the suffering and bankruptcy, taxes will be raised at the state level as well. It will either take much higher taxes, massive poverty/homelessness, high crime rates, and a massive migration away from Honolulu or a combination of these before the taxpayers will revolt. When they start taking property taxes to pay for the rail, that coffin nail gets deeper and deeper. You think the pothole situation and water main breaks and sewage spills are bad now? Just wait. And of course tax revenues will suffer when no one wants to travel to Hawaii. When Honolulu turns into Detroit or Chicago I think you will see something drastic happen. Maybe not in my lifetime. I hope it never happens. Hawaii is a special place. JMHO

I don’t know what she intends to do? In her last speech she started screaming about not giving up and she is not going away.

Not change careers (what else is a politician going to do?), but follow the previously tread path and change parties. Since she has voted with the Democrats 90% of the time during her entire House tenure, it won't be much of a change, if any. If Gabbard, Kong, Fukumoto, et al. can do it, why not her? She seems rather hazy on the line between Democrat and Republican anyway (I'm pretty sure she's in favor of "a few commonsense gun safety regulations"... she voted for them!).
