Vegas Gun Stores
« on: November 19, 2018, 01:20:03 PM »
Going to Vegas shortly and wondering if I'm  missing any gun type stores to check out or if you guys know any "underground" stores that are a must see.  Most below are based on Yelp.

1) Bass Pro-Food and clothing
2) Ventura Munitions-Speer Gold Dot 223 ammo
3) Sportsman Warehouse-Looking only
4) Hanh's World of Surplus-Looks interesting
5) REI-Food, TQ
6)Freedom Firearms-Gear/ammo
7) Lock N Load Tactical-Looking
8) Front Site-Check them out for future classes
9) Battlefield LV-Indoor range for full auto stuff (only if I'm winning)
10) Walmart-Ammo
11) PFC Training-For future classes (local girl works at the front desk)

On a plus, my friend who moved up there a few years ago is interested in buying a gun.  Gonna enjoy talking to him about it.  He needs the full 411 on what to buy, safety, etc...I also gave him the # to my CCW instructor who does private lessons as well.  He voted for Hillary, but is slowly getting on the Trump train because he sees the messed up stuff the DNC/liberals are doing.

I dont have anything to buy so I just go to Wal-Mart to get ammo when I shoot at Frontsight or Clark County range.

Discount Firearms - https://discountfirearmslv.com/
American Shooters - http://americanshooters.com/

Front Sight - get their Patriot Membership for $49 when you purchase a calendar and CD from a music group... https://www.vsquared.rocks/frontsightmembership/#img
You get a Front Sight Patriot Lifetime Membership allowing you to attend our flagship courses as often as you wish and as many times as you wish and master a level of skill at arms with your handgun, shotgun and rifle when you purchase a 2019 Hotrod Calendar and Car Song CD, PLUS a V Squared Live Concert DVD, award winning documentary DVD, PLUS an LA Music Award winning studio album, PLUS a hat and shirt, ALL FOR ONLY $49.95.
Here's What You Get With the Patriot Front Sight Membership: Two Day Defensive Handgun; Two Day Tactical Shotgun; Two Day Practical Rifle; Four Day Defensive Handgun; Four Day Tactical Shotgun; Four Day Practical Rifle.

Before they moved next to the Hustler Club I would have recommended The Range 702 but haven't been there since they moved. They may be more commercialized now catering to strippers and Californians trying to escape draconian gun laws

I'd rather have a bottle in front of me, than a frontal lobotomy.

If you make your way up to Reno, Scheels is awesome!

Regarding Front Sight, the last time I was there they closed the front gates when the classes started and didn't allow visitors/non students to hang around the facility. This was some years back so you may want to check. Looks like they've made quite a bit of progress on their ranges based on their videos

And if you are on the north end of the valley, you can stop at New Frontier Armory on E. Centennial. Next to Buffalo Wild Wings

Update:

No need TQ, bought another on from 5.11 on black friday.  They had the 25% off sale and online was the same price, but no discount.

Just looked them up and we did visit them last time.  Random stop, just driving around and saw the sign "Armory".  The wife bought a key chain and some stickers.  Funny story, as we were walking in, we saw a sketchy guy looking into car windows.  We told the guys at New Frontier.  1 went outside (open carrying) and shouted.  The sketchy guy ran off.

Just curious, but why are you looking to get that from LV when it’s readily available locally?

I’d also look for other JHP rounds from Hornady and Federal. I usually look for those and others that aren’t readily available locally.

$3 a box cheaper (20 count).  Not that big of a deal, but I like to bring ammo home.  Was gonna bring home a bunch, so $3 a box adds up.

9mm isn't that much cheaper up there, and 223 has good sales here through out the year.

I see. I believe 11 lbs is about 400 rounds of .223, so that can certainly add up. When I used to go to AK, there were some great deals on ammo.
