Its an interesting fact from the HIFICO meeting past Sat night.
Sam Kong is a cab driver when out of session.
So what do other legislators do when session is out?
Now I understand why certain bills get introduced and passed.

I have a friend who used to work for the HI attorney general
he said the second worst ones were lawyers
he said the worst ones were the former local news people

his example, legislator comes to them with a bill he wants to propose
AGs office "you can't do this bill"
legislator "why not?"
AGs office "because it's unconstitutional"
legislator "why not?"

Scott Nishimoto is an attorney.  Not sure what kind of law he practices.  But I'm sure he didn't study the Bill of Rights very much in college.  If he did, he would not propose a bill just because a constituate is asking.  He would tell them why he can't propose said bill.

It's works the other way around too. Neither of my reps gave any explanation as to why they wouldn't introduce a "permitless carry" bill (open and concealed) for me as "introduced for another party". It wasn't a complicated bill... just crossed out all the wording having to do with licenses for carry in HRS 134. Since 13 states already have it, some for many years, and Vermont literally forever as a state, it can't be because it's unconstitutional. Go figure.

I thought they were porn stars on their off time.

So many of them are so great at putting it up everyone's arse, and so many love them for it.

Who would've known....

It is because of their deep love and concern for you and me.  They don’t want us killing each other and turning Hilo into Dodge City aka wild, Wild West.
In addition if “everybody will be killing each other “ they would have no one left to screw.
