Another shooting??? This time in Punaluu

I thought that all these gun laws were going to put a stop to this!
How many now in the last few months?
Clearly the powers that be have succeeded in making it hard for folks like us to acquire a firearm, but the bad guys have no such issue.
We need a history of all these incidents that shows where all the guns came from. Needs to be front page
Stolen, prohibited person, Felon in possession...
And some enforcement of the laws in place. Why are all these clowns with long rap sheets on the street?
Mandatory sentencing and Federal charges for those where it applies (no Parole)
Or we need to be allowed to defend ourselves.
Aloha... I think ???
Aloha

Hawaii politicians, and I believe a great many people here, won't be happy until the right to keep & bear arms is no longer protected.
Hence the resolution our legislature sent to the US Congress asking for either a repeal or rewriting of the Second Amendment.

Hawaii Lawmakers Urge Congress to Repeal 2nd Amendment

Friday, 08 March 2019

Quote
Democratic legislators have introduced two virtually identical resolutions in the Hawaii Senate urging
Congress to consider a constitutional amendment to either repeal or clarify the Second Amendment.

State Senators Stanley Chang (D-9), Karl Rhoads (D-13), Rosalyn Baker (D-6), Dru Kanuha (D-3),
and Laura Thielen (D-25) introduced both Senate Resolution 29 and Senate Concurrent Resolution
42.

After spouting a list of “whereas” statements targeting every American's constitutional right to keep and
bear arms — including one such whereas that asserts the Second Amendment is a “collective right” in
which “United States citizens do not have an individual right to possess guns and that local, state, and
federal legislative bodies possess the authority to regulate firearms without implicating a constitutional
right” — both SR 29 and SCR 42 conclude with an egregious resolve; stating:

BE IT RESOLVED by the Senate of the Thirtieth Legislature of the State of Hawaii, Regular Session of
2019, the House of Representatives concurring, that the United States Congress is urged to propose
and adopt a proposed amendment to the United States Constitution pursuant to article V of the United
States Constitution to clarify the constitutional right to bear arms; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the United States Congress is requested to consider and discuss
whether the Second Amendment of the United States Constitution should be repealed or amended to
clarify that the right to bear arms is a collective, rather than individual, constitutional right.

This proposal to deny Americans their right to posess firearms underscores the serious dangers of amending
the federal Constitution in this current age. And although neither resolution is an application to Congress to call
a convention for proposing amendments, also known as a “convention of states” or constitutional convention
(Con-Con), under Article V, they offer a preview into the type of amendments that a Hawaii delegation to such
a convention would propose, should one be called by Congress.

One thing that does not get brought up enough is how EVERY elected official / uniformed official has made an oath to protect and uphold the constitution against all foreign and domestic enemies. Such simple words yet near every democratic politician breaks the oath by trying to repeal the 2nd amendment and disarm the populace. Breaking an oath is considered perjury and punishable with jail time. If only we took this more seriously as a society.

Well, some of us have been saying for a long time that they should be arrested, prosecuted and at least jailed... but... they have an "out"... the oath includes the words "to the best of my ability"... and if you're a lying scum progressive socialist Democrat asshole the "best of your ability" is, well, self-defined. It includes "support and defend the constitutions" to mean "evade, avoid, ignore, circumvent, de facto deny, and if possible amend or eliminate the parts of the constitutions we don't like". That's "the best of their ability"... the best of their ability to achieve total civilian disarmament and the programs that will eventually follow upon the greatly lowered potential for serious armed resistance to their all-glorious plans to make sure everyone (except the elite rulers) is "equal".

Joe Huffman earlier this year created #EnjoyYourTrial to emphasize that what they are doing is "serious" and should be treated as such (currently virtually totally ignored by all except "far right gun nuts"). You can read his posts about it, first/oldest at the bottom, here: http://blog.joehuffman.org/category/enjoy-your-trial/

Here are several of the many short condensations of the idea:

You are demanding people ask permission for a guaranteed right. #EnjoyYourTriall

Gun control is prior restraint of specific enumerated right and is illegal. #EnjoyYourTrial

“Red flag” laws are prior restraint and are illegal. #EnjoyYourTrial

[And my favorite...]

What you are doing is illegal. Everything you say can and will be used against you in a court of law. #EnjoyYourTrial

In each invocation you can include http://bit.ly/EnjoyYourTrial1 (for private citizens) and/or http://bit.ly/EnjoyYourTrial2 (for politicians, law enforcement, and other government employees).

Yep definately agree with what he says. Thanks for the link. I aint no lawyer or lawmaker but i wish they would treat breaking a constitutional oath equivalent to treason. I see no difference between treason and knowingly breaking an oath to the constitution, both should be punishable by death.
