Rogan's a tool. That's obvious right at the beginning when he frames the whole discussion about how to solve "the problem" of there having been "247 mass shooting already this year" (almost all of those are either gang-related or domestic violence, didn't use semi-automatic rifles of any kind, and virtually none of those criminals would ever even consider undergoing any kind of background check.). Everything he says after that is reflective of his general and specific ignorance. If he buys into Bloomberg's, et al. fake stats, he'll buy into anything. If you don't even know what the problem is, or how prevalent it is, you certainly aren't going to be able to make informed decisions about how to deal with it effectively.

Even as totally biased a news site as ABC News acknowledges that there has only been 17 such shootings in 2019, and almost all of those were domestic incidents or ordinary crimes, usually gang related, and not the random murders of innocent people unknown to the killer, as is the typical public image of "mass shootings" as in the recent El Paso and Dayton events.

Rogen isn't wrong because "mass shootings" are defined as 4 or more people.  What he should have gone into is that active shootings differs from mass shooters.

And if he wanted to be more awoke, he could mention if we remove 4 cities (chiraq, DC, Baltimore, St. Louise) from our murder stats then the USA drops to 100 something on the world ranking.  As of now, we're like 12 or something.

I did enjoy the part where Crenshaw says "I could take an AR away from you, it's pretty easy with my training".  Then Rogen mentions his flamethrower given by Musk.

Good interview.
Interviewer was driving it around and dancing.
I wish we had politicians like Dan Crenshaw, but that
will never happen in Hawaii. He seems to be thoughtful
and educated, our pols are tribal Democrats that
scream for racism and conflict.
Locally allowing concealed carry would be a biggie for
personal safety in public places. That is a State law issue.
The main purpose of the second amendment is protection
from the Federal government when it is no longer responsive
to the will of the people.  That is why you can't confiscate our
guns, Americans fought a war when the British tried to do so.
States like Hawaii seem to think they can deny anybody a gun
anytime the cops feel like it and confiscate guns on the word
of an irate ex-wife or neighbor.  It will be interesting to see just
how many cops want to do that job.
Your latest no due process "red flag law" is my red line.  Molon Labe.

Crenshaw said on the Louder with Crowder show he qualifies as a member of the millennial generation.

I guess there's hope...
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I don't think it is fair to fault Rogan for ignorance if he is taking steps to learn more about it by talking to people like Dan Crenshaw. No one knows everything about everything, the most we can hope for is that people are open to learning and from the interviews I have heard with Rogan he appears to be that way.
