Sounds like we got enough people to have a little party.
Let me figure out some sort of plan for shootin' and eating.

I'm thinking about a loosely organized steel plate contest at the silhouette side from about 10 to 12.

Then pot luck lunch at the grassy middle field.

Anybody else wanna come in? No shame shoot. It's only for fun.
If there is one thing I have learned from decades of contests, there is always somebody who will score less than you.

Here is the plan:
Meet at the KHSC Silhouette Range at 10am.
Shoot a little quick and dirty competition.
Retire for pot luck lunch at about 12 noon at the grassy field.

COURSE OF FIRE:
Any centerfire handgun.
5 shot strings at 1 or more designated targets at 50 yards, timed fire.
Targets to be determined that day by range conditions.
Score is just the # of hits.

String 1=30 seconds
String 2=20 sec.
String 3=15 sec.
String 4=15 sec. again
String 5=10 sec.
Ties will be broken by the 10 sec string.
Reshooting if necessary.
Free fire after everyone had a chance to shoot for score.

Prizes to be awarded for top auto and top revolver
Other prizes to be awarded depending on how much stuff I can find in the closet.

I have to go airport that morning, so I might be late, might miss the shooting competition
but i'll pick up some manapua on the way and be there before the potluck, maybe get some shooting in before the potluck   :shaka:

That is a cast of characters.

I got one of those mini fake Webers I can bring, charcoal and cooler and ice.
I’ll bring the flint and tinder so Inspector Dave can feel at home starting a fire. Not these whipper snapper matches things.

50 yards with a pistol at a silhouette.
Put me down for a score of one because hopefully the sun shines on a dog’s ass at least once in 25 shots.
What’s the hold over and windage at 50 yards with a kokohead wind ?
If I hit the silhouette target to the left does that still score?  :D

Not sure yet if I will be able to make it for the shooting, but I could use a camp stove.  :hmm:  ;D

If I can make it to the shoot, I was thinking revolver since you're a revolver guy.  But now I may have to bring something more "fancy". . .  :P  8)
