Nawwwwww, it’s bigger than a Python.  :shake: :shake: :shake:

With interchangeable barrels!!

I was afraid you might have interchangeable barrels.

On second thought, wish I had interchangeable barrels.
(No even knows what that means......no one knows what it means but it’s provocative. (Movie and later Lyric reference))

Ken Hackathorn is highly respected. I would like to see some rest accuracy numbers and I want to see the fit and finish and try the trigger myself. I forgot the original DA trigger stacks. That is huge if they all but eliminated it.

Great vid, thanks for posting.

CCI STINGER!
Oh ignorant youth, the world is not a joyous place. The time has come for you to dispense with the frivolous pleasures of childhood and get down to honest toil until you are sixty-five. Then and only then can you relax and collect your social security and live happily until the time of your death!

I'm not sure I agree completely with this guys premise that there is no hand fitting. In order to make a smooth trigger a lot of polishing needs to be done. Unless there is something I don't know (which is probably true) I believe that polishing is part of hand fitting. If, I am wrong and they can cast/machine with polished surfaces then I question the $1,500 price. Also, the frame/cylinder appears highly polished which traditionally is hand work. I could be wrong here. I'm not an expert.

I've seen locally the new Colt Cobra with polished stainless selling for over 1k. the regular Cobra sells for around 650. that's a big markup for a polish job.  so I guess in comparison, the Python with polished stainless will be more expensive
overall the new Colt revolvers are expensive that's for sure
maybe there is some hand fitting and polishing.  I'm not sure, i'm no expert either.  but I do know one thing.....they better hurry up and ship those darn revolvers already, people getting impatient.   :D

side note, I saw somewhere, I forget where, but Kimber coming out with more revolvers too.  I think I recall a target model, and a few other models that are new for 2020, supposed to come out at shot show.  Kimber revolvers kind of expensive too

I often wondered about the hand fitting aspect.  The points Yankee makes sense regarding current/modern manufacturing tolerances.  The only things I've had to hand fit on my guns are fit for replacement sights, but I'm also not much of a tinkerer.  From what I understand most (or maybe all) high end 1911s involve quite a bit of handfitting.  That there are certain aspects that CNC machines aren't capable of, like checkering at a certain level.
