Beautiful!  Must be nice to live in America now.  Shyed away from PCC here for a long time because, IMO, a 16" bbl is a waste for a pistol round.   SBR PCC makes the most sense to me, especially for such things as Home defense and vehicle back up gun in an urban/suburban setting.

Gave in and decided to jump in on the PPC game for training purposes, and the ease and cost of reloading 9mm vs 5.56

exactly my thoughts for living in Hawaii. If I lived in a free state than a PCC would make sense for HD.

It is nice to live in America now, but now it is more expensive! All the things I have wanted for a long time and couldn’t get in Hawaii are now available. ALL AT ONCE!!!

The shortages in reloading supplies that I experienced the last time are not quite as bad this time. While it is still really tough to find jacketed bullets, if you wait long enough and watch all the ads and websites, they magically appear occasionally. But this time, plated bullets are readily available and I have been testing them and some are very good and still very cheap. I’m not restricting my 9mm, 38 and 45 shooting at all. I am cutting back a bit on my .223/5.56 and 300 BLK a bit just because I was not able to get as many bullets as I would have liked to prior to the shortages but I can still find the more expensive ones if I so desire. It is just the bulk packed bullets are tough right now. I just don’t have as many as I would have liked to prior to the panic buying. Once fired brass is still available but rising in price which may mean it will be harder to find soon. Powder is pretty available if you check the right places and are willing to compromise on using a good substitute. The only real tough issue are primers right now. At least I recognized the panic buying when I did and stocked up as best I could before everyone ran out.

Based on everything I’ve read and all the videos I’ve watched and the CMMG upper I own in 300 Blackout I have decided to buy the Banshee Upper with threaded 5” barrel which I’ll register as a SBR. I like the modified mags as a solution. But I’m going to wait until after the panic is over, or at least a few more months since I have so many other projects in the works right now. I’m also going to use this as a platform to test a suppressor and a binary trigger.
If I lived up there, or another state with similar gun laws, I'd be broke.  My buddies in TX who have SBRs and cans, they are like, "it's not all that".  Eff that!  I want 'um!  Haha.  A 9 mm suppressed SBR would be awesome!

Yeah, I stayed away from PCC for similar reasons.  One reason for me looking into them again recently is to shoot carbines at steel at public ranges.  Love shooting steel.

PCC isn't really for defense, at least for me.  Could be useful for teaching some younger ones to shoot carbines with 9 mm being way cheaper than .223/5.56.
