Was cruising the permit side and found that they have no times available at all? Went two years down the line. Wonder if they getting rid of it? Or we banned :wtf: >:D >:D

I have an appointment on July 10th. at 9am.  I know there is parking in the underground parking structure and there are a couple of metered stalls right in front of the police station.

Was wondering if there are additional places nearby that I can park?  Is there parking in the stations parking garage for public use?

Where do you guys park when picking up permits and registering?

You can also find metered parking on Beretania St. on the left.  There are 4 stalls just past HPD HQ and a bunch before HPD.  Also the side street Hale Makai has some street parking.

If it is going back to pre-corona process, I wonder when you can start walking in bc I have appt in September but if can go earlier i'd rather do that
otherwise my 1911 is just sitting there doing nothing.  probably getting lonely

I usually park in the parking garage that is located past the p.d on the left. Where the elementary school is. It's metered parking.

My preferences:

#1 - On-Street parking in front of the station.  Need change for meters.  Closest to the front entrance.  Have to mind the Rush Hour restrictions or get ticketed/towed.

#2 - On-Street parking on Hale-Makai, left side of building facing the front.  Need change for meter.

#3 - HPD underground garage -- entrance is behind station.  A few stalls are reserved for visitors and take cash or credit.

#4 - Civic Center Municipal Parking -- right side of building facing front, across Alapai St.  Furthest walk, but never a problem finding a stall.  Cash or credit.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I just called HPD firearms, spoke with Suzy.  she said the appts are full up to 3 months out and that's the limit that they can make appts online.  that's why cannot make appts right now
so the online appt system is still in place
if you didn't get appt yet, then you're out of luck
considering this f'd up process, and since I already have an appt in about 2 months, I need to look for more guns to buy in the mean time bc i'm not wasting my time registering only 1 gun

🧐🤔 How many think it’s time to contact the Mayor and let him know this can’t continue?
No one is coming, it’s up to us.

Legislation should never be about depriving law abiding citizens of something, but rather taking those things away from criminals.

He's not going to care.  This helps delay things by a lot. There's a huge firearm demand right now, and the Blues don't want people to have them in the first place. They settle with slowing it down--in this case, dramatically.

Does anyone know if HPD allows piggy backing on permit appointments? I have an apt tomorrow and a family member of mine would like to obtain a permit too

I'd say go anyways. Have all the paperwork done and ready.

So hows this working for people with expiring LG permits? Can't get an appointment for 3 months but your permit expires in 3 weeks and want to go buy something. So now based on this, HPD is affecting commerce. How does this work? Much like the Texas case (Mance v Holder), different premise but same outcome, can they be sued for not allowing transactions to occur? The LGS looses sales because HPD not issuing permits for 3+ months?

Ya bro. I was scrambling to find a third pistol for the 3 or less permit this Thursday to make the process worth it. Found one couple days ago  so I got

Ppq 4" steel
Ria 1911 22lr
S&w model 19

So I'm done for a while after this. The hoop jumping making me feel like a faking seal at sealife park.

And I have to save for payment on my hi power that I sent out to get customized. Thankfully that can be mailed back directly to me no hoops. So if I no bachi myself, in three weeks it's pew pew time
