Hopefully this will drag out past the elections.  God forbid Holder gets charged and pardoned before someone leaves office.

Awesome. This kind of BS really needs to be dragged out into the light and have every detail examined.

So Obama is not going to release the papers, and Holder is playing the "blame Bush" ticket.. Gee like we didn't see that one coming. Now I never agreed with everything Bush did but I never heard him blame Clinton for things.

I don't think it would be a shame at all. Kind of what's called for, don't you think?

^^Unfortunately it's all bark and no bite.  Unless there is a major showdown between Congress and the Pres, this is going to go away.

I watched a little bit of the proceedings on CSPAN last night.  My observation and opinion..

Seemed to me that the Democrats were hell bent on diverting the attention to the previous administrations failed attempts at a similar program.
The Republicans wanted to try and keep focus on the crime currently under scrutiny.  This seeming to me, being genuinely concerned with gathering all available evidence, disregarding who might be implicated.

This affirming my belief that the Democrats in congress are more interested in protecting their flock than the pursuit of the truth and justice.  Disgusting
JMHO

They should continue with the contempt vote, and go for criminal prosecution, to the very top, and then indict whom ever they can, finding those responsible accessories to murder.  This might give those who want to take our rights, by any dastardly means necessary, pause to think.

Good point but if they do take it to the top I would Beverly surprised but in a very good way. It would show that politicians in this country still have the balls to do the right thing instead of just putting on a ball and pny show to keep those of us who want justice occupied when in the end they will just give up on the issue. Time will tell. Side note, Obama's executive privilege throws a curve in this, seems like he wants to get involved or just trying to protect his friend Holder. Well, I would like to hear Obama's reasoning for granting executive privilege in this case since it is the first time he used this power since he has been in office. Transparency my eye ball, and he better not say national, security because the beans he been letting loose lately is of far greater concern that Holder keeping his job or freedom.

That, too.

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.
