you really think you are fooling people with this statement?

I very rarely lie but I can't force you to believe me so whatever dude, continue on with your conspiracy theory if it entertains you.

So, you actually believe the bullshit you're shoveling?

I want all my "benefits of the doubt" I gave you returned immediately!

Hey, give the guy credit. At least he admits to lying. It is now up to you to determine how much “rarely” means!

Probably related my fun with the draft board before.

Got out after four years, never was old enough to sign up for the draft.   Some told me I needed to sign up after i go out or it could mean trouble for any employer wanting a draft card for status.

So, I go to the nearest selective service office and wait.  Interview starts with me stating i heard i was supposed to sign up.

"How old are you?

21   Heads snap around peering at me.  "I been busy"

After a bit more fun, it came out where I had been and I got my 4A card.............

Also good to claim draft dodger status with the enlisting up before i was of draft age.
I too was too young to sign up for the draft,
But I had a brush with the law and my very expensive lawyer,
knew the State attorney General.
6 years was my sentence. I volunteered USAF.
I was a minor so the records are all "sealed".
I never signed up for the draft.
I was 23 when I got out.
The draft had ended well before that and I never
bothered to sign up, although I think I was supposed to.
Was never a problem.  I had a secret Clearance at
Hughes Aircraft, my first job out of the Military.

An appeal to the 5th Circuit Court of Appeals was argued in March 2020.  The action seeks to deem the current Selective Service system unconstitutional.

They tried that before, but were ruled against, because the argument was only men are required to register. At that time (1981), women were not allowed to serve in combat roles, so the draft did not apply to anyone but men.

Now that women are allowed to serve in pretty much all roles, the case was refiled, and a ruling could come down almost any day now.

In December 2019, a bill to repeal the Military Selective Service Act and abolish the Selective Service System, H.R. 5492, was introduced in the U.S. House of Representatives.

So, if the law isn't rewritten to include women, or even if it is, there is support for abolishing the system completely.

If you don't register, you can be denied student loans, federal student grants, naturalization, and almost every other gov't program besides welfare (of course).

I don't pedal BS therefore the premise to your question is flawed.

I am actually hyper honest that's why I said rarely because yes, I do lie on occasion. I still tell my children Santa is real for example.  You are the type to try and find some sort of gotcha thing so I throw in those disclaimers to be completely clear.

Well, if my time spent calling you out has made you more honest, then I consider that worth the effort!
