Honolulu Firearms and Shooting Range (formerly Magnum) also has in store specials on everything (10 to 25 per cent off). The personnel there seem like a nice group to deal with.

A bust....far from it!  We walked away with a couple of brand new high end assault ruck sacks for less than $50.00 for both items.  The staff and the atmosphere is very different. Its down right positive!  Magnum was donated to the new owners and Mr. Ong has nothing to do with the store anymore.  Good on for the new owners who trying to change the place around.  At least they are doing something positive with it.

I agree... Honolulu Firearms and Range has a completely different feel to it. Travis and Daniel were both very pleasant to talk to.

I thew down for a membership to the range.  I have to admit, being able to shoot, do a little shopping, not have to worry about a range master yelling at you to stand behind the yellow line, and hoping to use some ones private range in the future is down right awesome!

Have the membership dues changed for the range?
The Supreme Court has ruled that you, as an individual, have no right to protection by the police. Their only obligation is to protect "society".

I was talking to Travis and he said membership was $400/year if I'm not mistaken. Gun purchases supposedly add credit to this membership somehow.  Not sure of the details -- Might want to call them.

No

Every $500 spent gives you $100 credit towards the annual membership.

Membership is $400 annually

Paint me cynical, but I find it weird that a church would own a firearms shop.

Why? In the mainland there are a lot of churches with preachers into guns. Especially when i was living in Idaho.

The way I buy guns, I've been an annual member for about six years now and have never spent a dime for membership.

Every $500 spent on guns gets you 3 months of free range membership.
