Dammit, Google!

Just discovered Google's Advertising Policies.

Quote
What's the policy?
Google AdWords doesn't allow the promotion of weapons or devices designed to cause serious harm or injury. The promotion of weapons includes guns, gun parts or hardware, ammunition, bombs, knives, throwing stars, and brass knuckles.

Lots of details, including an easy-to-read chart at the link.

Dammit.  I liked Google.
The difference between theory and reality is that, in theory, there is no difference between theory and reality.

Yes, I too was hearing about this stuff!  Damn disappointing!  Is there any large company out there not controlled by the anti-gun crowd???   :wtf: Not sure if it is anti gun, maybe just anti 'weapon'?  Who knows?

I wish there were a web service provider that was a supporter of 2A and all things freedom, I surely would use it.  Com'on IT guys, make it happen!  Let me in on those stocks when you do, I'd like to make some bank!

My first career choice was computer and technology, back when the internet was on modems, a 1 gig hard drive was only of the wealthy, and a 686 was state of the art, I ended up scrapping that and going into blue collar.  Man I wish I keep up with all this computer and technology stuff, I'd have has made a fortune...

Our lives have made some similar turns. I was blue collar for 20 years and went back to college and got my degree. In 1996 I got my first IT job working for Cisco Systems. Worked as a Software QA Engineer and Hardware DVT Engineer. Did this for a few different companies for 12 years and got fed up with the BS. Now I am back in blue collar since 2008.

Someone will fill the void and google will lose business.

It is their free choice as a private business.
