Thats why i stopped buying hand guns until this whole mess clears up. but long guns at least they let you take it home even though your registration is far away. The only thing is that you cant shoot it until you register it which is 100% fine with me.

That's not stated in any statute. in fact, the registration penalties are all suspended until further notice.
They can't prevent you from legally using a legally acquired firearm. They already made you get a permit application appointment however long that took. Then they made you wait another 2 weeks to pick up the permit. I would say you've waited well beyond whatever waiting period's purpose might have been. Now that the firearm is in your possession, registration is the final mandated BS step.
if the state can't offer registrations within the 5 day limit BY LAW, then it is the STATE that's breaking the law, not the gun buyer.
As I said before, "I've been unable to get a reservation to register" should be all anyone has to say to whomever might question you.
Is the RSO checking for registrations? I don't believe so.
