The city website hasn’t been updated

1.  Is the gate still closed till 7:30am?  Or varies with who is the range master that day?

2.  Is silhouette only open on Sundays?  They were closed today

I believe the silhouette range which is operated by a private club is closed due to concerns over the Covid19

I was there Sunday at 7:20 am.  Cars & trucks parked on the side of the road on both sides for nearly a quarter mile in both directions (way fewer on the Waimanalo side, fewer places to park).  Totally unsafe situation, especially for the old ladies walking up the road to Hanauma Bay ( ).

Nothing moved until almost 7:35-40 but once it did start moving people were generally safe and courteous--no honking, cutting, revving, etc.

I overheard one guy telling another that he got there at 5:30 am and he was 8th in line--basically the last car that could fit into the park's "driveway."

I think the range will be shut down again by Iggy pretty soon--locking the gate until 7:30 is bound to get someone hurt soon, plus there's no real social distancing being practiced.

Oh well, it was good while it lasted.

Silhouette range is closed until further notice.

so dumb. Outdoor environment. Sun. Open air. Heat. All factors that work against the survivability of a virus. No cases related to Kokohead, hiking trails or mini golf - but almost a dozen cases related to a party at City Hall.
