No regulation, but at the same time since no regulation, no protection from lawsuits for slander, defimation, etc...

But since they are offered these protections thanks to the government, that same government can regulate.

My 2 cents

Wait everything you said contradicts itself.

No regulation means its free speech and there should be more reason they are protected.
The act of threatening lawsuits and fees is defacto regulation.  If I said you have all the free speech but anyone can sue you for everything you own for anything you say.  Would you speak?
And if the government can regulate doesn't that defeat free speech also?

It's 2 separate statements, hence the paragraph space.

Right now anyone can sue anyone for anything, but winning is a different story. As a firearm owner who has them for home defense, you should know this.  Bad guy or their family can sue you, even after the police/prosecutor deemed it a good shoot in HI.  But it doesn't mean they will win.

Since you have your NV CCW, that states castle doctrine makes you immune from civil liability if it is a good shoot in your "castle".  That's why with BJ Baldwin, after the police determined it was self defense and no charges, he spoke openly about his experience.

My Vegas CCW instructor had a student who got sued and won.  He spent $40,000 on attorney fees that he won't get back.

Instead of complaining about the reality of this litigious society, most people who want to protect their assets buy firearm insurance, or at least join a legal defense "club".  If your case is strong, the insurance will pay for bail, a replacement gun if yours is in an evidence locker, and legal fees.

Anyone who plans to carry regularly should look into a good firearm owner's insurance policy.  Like all insurance, chances are you'll never need it, but if you ever do, you'll be really glad you have it.

What is so funny about that? Your words say you are pro-2a but your sense of humor indicates that is not really the case.
If you allow government to break the law for an "emergency" they will create "emergencies" to break the law.

I use humor to deflect unfortunate situations sometimes.  Don't take it serious.

What plan do you have?  Tempted to get one just in case.  Life insurance I don't need yet have no dependents. If I die money isn't useful to me.

There are threads already discussing Carry Insurance.  This is not that thread.

Love this statement from Jack. Always been a fan of his, especially the way he carried himself off the course and life in general.
