There's direct results, but there's also the work he did and is doing to balance the courts.  Yeah, I say balance because many had been shifted heavily one way under Obama and previous.  It wasn't until I looked into that myself that I found just how start the imbalance was, esp the 9th.

He's removing the cards that have been up the Liberal's sleeves a long time so gun owners have a fair chance of winning.

What I am still amazed at is how lazy Obama was to nominate judges to the courts. He didn’t do the job he was hired to do. There were, and still are so many openings. Of course not as many as there were when Trump first took office. But the face of the 9th has changed dramatically. Even if it is still has a majority of non constitutionalists (Progressives). When they start picking judges there are sometimes now majority of those that will follow the constitution rather than their feelings. Oh wait, that sounds familiar.

Not tangible, so no credit.

The excuse from the Left is that the Republicans obstructed Obama with regards to confirming judges.  In truth, the Dems had a majority in both chambers of Congress in Obama's first 2 years, and they still controlled the Senate through 2015.  That's 6 years of total control over the confirmation process for federal judges.  Remember, it was Harry Reid who changed the Rules of the Senate to allow a Cloture vote to pass with a simple majority specifically to bypass Republican Senators when appointing judges.

McConnell became majority leader of the Senate in 2015.  The GOP has since held an increasing majority in the Senate.

Did McConnell obstruct Obama's appointment of judges from 2015-2016?  Damn straight he did!  When the voters hand over the Senate and House to the Republicans, it's a mandate for them to rein in the policies and appointments of the Democrat President.

As Obama famously stated, "Elections have consequences."

No party needs 100% control of the government for very long.

Quote
When Trump took office, only 44 percent of federal circuit court judges had been appointed
by Republican Presidents. By September 8, the proportion appointed by Republicans had
climbed to 55 percent.

That is certainly a significant change, driven by the fact that 30 percent of sitting federal
circuit judges were appointed by President Trump.

Yet the proportion of federal circuit judges appointed by a Republican President remains
below what it was in 2008 (56%), 1996 (59%), and 1992 (66%). To reach these heights,
Trump would certainly need a second term.

The main reason why I supported Trump in 2016 was because he said he would sign a national reciprocity for CCW if it came to his desk.  He didn't say he will push for it or create an XO about it.  Just he would sign it.  Now I do think he could have pushed for it if he wanted to and had success with it.  IIRC, there were 5 votes short (McCain was 1).  So the bill died.

1 disappointment was his allowing the ATF to ban bump stocks.  This creates a slippery slope which we have recently seen with braces.  Once they can ban 1, what stops them from banning other accessories?  Not like it really matters though cause HI law banned it anyways.

I agree 100% about the bump stocks. I actually started this thread saying pretty much the same. No president is perfect and no president does everything everyone wants. But this is inconsistent with supporting the 2A community IMO.

As far as using an executive order to force CCW reciprocity, I don’t like executive orders. So while I would love to see CCW reciprocity I would rather not see it done with an executive order. The reason is the same as to why I felt all of the EO’s that Obama signed were pretty much no good. That is due to the next president coming in. If they are of a different party that president can null and void all the EO’s from the previous president in much the same way Trump did to Obama EO’s. This law needs to be done the right way through Congress and signed into law by the president. JMHO

The mani reasons I supported Trump 2016 was:

1.  Trump: Not a Swamp Critter

2.  Clinton: Swamp Queen

3.  Clinton: Benghazi failure and subsequent cover-up.  As Secretary of State, she was the most responsible for leaving those 4 Americans there to die.

4.  Clinton: Private Email Server and devices with classified info, used this set-up to avoid FOIA requests.

5.  Clinton: All the wrongdoings detailed in leaked DNC emails.

It's a much longer list, but these are the ones that show she's completely unqualified for the job of POTUS and CinC.  "ABC" == Anyone But Clinton

Not a huge deal for me.  Frankly, it was to keep PIAPS as far from power as possible.  Did not really know Trump, but certainly did know that old whore from decades of corruption.

That's exactly what I was thinking.  Also, I can understand that on the list were many other priorities.  Yeah, 2a rights is significant to me, but there are others.  Many of which he delivered as promised, or even more.  As well as many positive "lead by example" things that he has done that weren't necessarily captured by the media.

I agree. There were so many more priority items that he delivered on so far I hated to put the 2A stuff off. But he delivered on most of the 2A things he promised. Hopefully, he’ll have 4 more years to deliver on more of his promises.

Just to show you how awful EEF and Omnigun are, this article lists 10 things that all of us benefitted from because of Trump. But all they can do is whine and cry about a promise he made as not being “A win”.  :wtf:  You people can never be happy that Trump did some things good for you. So what if it is only 9 things instead of 10? Can you not get over your massive hatred and admit these are good things for the 2A community? How sad you two are that you cannot be happy for once because your hated towards Trump envelops you. You two are so petty. Now, you going to come back at me and attack me or President Trump or Flapp or someone else to deflect from your sad little lives. I only wish everybody happiness in this world. But you two are so typical of your generations. Selfish, self centered, narcissistic, crying, whining little babies that need to take anger management classes. I really do pity both of you.  :(

I want CCW reciprocity.

Hatred has nothing to do with it, facts have everything to do with it. You would rather I jump on the praise wagon than dare question an inflated list?

You can't see the difference between attacking Trump and pointing out a list that is inaccurate. Trump didn't make the list so defending him is irrelevant. I credit Trump when he does good things.

What many people fail to remember is the POTUS needs Congress to pass the bill in order for him to sign it.
Would you rather have a POTUS who says he will VETO a CCW bill?  A Presidential veto would be difficult to overcome.

I don't fault Trump at all, he can't sign a bill that never makes it to his desk. I am faulting the list.
