I have a manners EH5, McMillan game scout, woox exactus, McMillan game warden and a KMW Sentinel if u wanna feel it. I also have other manners and McMillan A5 n A3-5 and T5 also if you want to feel it.

I sold my KRG and XLR chassis so no longer have them. But only because a friend wanted them and l prefer stocks. Just feels more natural to me when l get behind them.

I'm a hunter so that's my background of usage. I'm liking the woox so far but still have a hunt or 2 to get a good feel of it in hunting contains. I know it's hard when you see so many things you want to try but you can't lol

Wish u all the best in your quest to build your new rifles.

Aloha
I long wanted a McMillan, I think A5 or A3-5, from when I first got my Rem 700.  When I got back into it recently, I decided chassis route for the "tweakability" that the chassis allowed to try different LOP and comb heights.  Not knowing what I don't know, I figured that would allow me to try this setting, then another, etc.  I think the McM stocks I was looking at allowed for comb height adjustment, but LOP required a bit more work.  Not difficult, but not something easy to try this, then try that.  I still very much like the looks of the McM and feel of a similar stock (I think either Manners or H&S) that a buddy has.  Though I didn't quite know exactly what I wanted, and to a certain extent I still like the opportunity to tweak things as I improve/learn.

All that said, if I hunted, the chassis I do have are NOT what I would recommend.  Way too damn heavy.   ;D

Yes exactly and that is the whole reason behind chassis systems. And also in some cases inlet for a specific action that doesn't have much aftermarket options. In my case Sako TRG-S M995 actions I had a bunch of them but not much aftermarket stock options. I build a few on A-5 stocks after serengeti stockworks came out with a bottom metal.  Because the original is molded into the stock so it was a PITA to change stocks.  Then a cpl chassis systems was brought out that accommodated that action. Which was great also because not many smiths wanted to work with that action.

In my earlier years not that I'm really old now lol l didnt mind the weight at all. My hunting rifles weighted between 12-16#. These days l prefer a lighter shorter handier rifle lol. I have nothing against chassis I think it's great. More options for the hunting/shooting enthusiasts is a good thing if you ask me.  Back in the day we ordered stock blanks and made our own. Now there's many, many great options to choose from. Now, that's the issue picking the right one without being able to get to try n feel it out lol.
