Demoralization Trolls
« on: November 06, 2020, 10:16:40 AM »
Edit:
One of the admins reached out to inform me that I am mistaken, and if that is the case then I apologize to the members of this forum. 2ahawaii is one of the handful of sites where we do not have to worry about censorship from tech giants and is supposed to be one of the few places online where we can have a free exchange of ideas. My hasty reaction went against my values and I should have gathered more evidence instead of making an emotional call. It is very frustrating to have someone try and pour cold water on our movement at a time when we are finally gaining some momentum but everyone has a right to be a d-bag as long as they are not infringing on anybody else. Our ideas should win by merit as well as our ability to articulate them clearly and win hearts and minds. It is the opposition who shuts down debate, and by encouraging that I just took one step closer to the dark side. The fact remains that the sockpuppet phenomenon is a well-documented and is a major ingredient of the corporate media psyop that has caused the current crisis of legitimacy in our government. I would still encourage everyone to question all sources of information and consider the hidden agendas at work before allowing your morale to become compromised. Things may not be as dismal as they seem, and the world moves in mysterious ways. In the meantime I will try to set a better example in the future. Thanks for your patience and understanding.

Original Post:
It was not an easy decision for me to finally call out one of our current resident disinfo trolls. The danger of that decision is creating an atmosphere of paranoia and the possibility of witch hunts for the ideologically impure, but at this point it feels like we have more to lose by not speaking up. The good news is that 2ahawaii.com has raised its profile enough to show up on their radar and has become a legitimate organizing tool, but that only works if we can figure out a way to work together in real life to fight the regular onslaught of gun bills each and every legislative session. The objective of demoralization propaganda is to discourage us from doing just that by making us feel like there is no hope. That is why the polls were so wrong for this election, and yet there is no outrage or demand for explanation in the mainstream media. The purpose of running fake polls was not to inform the public but discourage conservative voters from showing up.

Although I do not frequent the Chans I have heard reports of massive demoralization campaigns taking place there, and on other forums I frequent have noticed accounts popping up within the last couple months that seem solely dedicated to pushing DNC talking points and gaslighting anyone who disagrees with them. Arguing with these people is a waste of energy. They get paid for it, but all we get out of it is an initial emotional sugar rush that leaves us feeling drained and less likely to focus on meaningful activism. Instead of shouting down the other side we should be looking at how we can make our side stronger. There are big questions about the legitimacy of our elections, and a whole lot of disenfranchised Hawaii voters who feel the possibility that their votes have been stolen from them. The gun rush is on as well, and these are all people who are finally motivated enough to go out and do something about their freedom instead of waiting for some imaginary Constitution Fairy to show up and save the day.

In the meantime I would respectfully request that you not to feed the trolls. It takes up unnecessary space and makes productive conversation more difficult. If you would like to find out more about how they operate I can post links, but everything you need to know can be learned by pasting the following terms in the search engine of your choice, although I would recommend staying a way from Big G for any number of reasons.

Demoralization, Destabilization, Insurgency,Normalization

I'm guessing you are talking about me.  Ive reached out to you to meet in real life because you didn't believe that I live here or own guns.  You make me out to be the boogeyman, just because I have different views than you.   The gun community doesn't mean more echo chambers like the liberals.  People of different thoughts and opinions can like guns.  It's not a requirement to be a republican to be a gun owner.  You don't have to be religious or be prolife.  Anyone can support 2a.  My opinion remains that the best way to keep gun rights is to have people of all types of beliefs and opinions join the gun support movement.

People can be friends even if they don't agree politically. My family and friends all have different political leanings but that doesn't stop us from getting along or having conversations.  Everyone is unique there's no two people here who have the exact opinions.

There is always hope.  I am the one who says that the most.  The senate is key to saving 2a rights.  Get over Trump and move on.  Don't make people doubt everything and our government that's what Russia and Iran want.  If there is proof of corruption,  move on it.  If not don't make conspiracy theories.

I will attend 2a events like in the past when time and my job permits I support the gun movement.  But life is not only about guns.  So forgive me if I value other things too.

No need meet in real life. Just show pic with the Star Bulletin.  WHile holding shoe in left hand and slipper in your right hand over your head and paypall $100.

But in all seriousness, I met Omni face to face.  Cant say the same about his GF, she might be imaginary.   He does own guns, but never shoots them.  But that's a different story.

Now whether he's being paid or coerced to stir the pot and get someone to say something, is a different story. I can neither confirm nor deny that.

I'll be at the range tomorrow afternoon!  First time in 3 months.  No mo ammo or time to shoot. :(

It would be worlds stupidest gig for me to get paid to advocate the getting rid of my guns which I've spent enough on to buy a car.  And if they paid me that much dang that's unreal.

That's like owning and living on your own boat and getting paid to put holes in the hull.

That's why I also put in coerced. Or paid you enough to buy 5 cars.  That's nothing to them.

Anti-gun supporters/zealots are donating millions to campaigns aimed at getting rid of guns.

It's not out of the realm of possibility that someone would put their agenda over personal cost.

Owning guns is not proof of anything.  If we've learned nothing else in our lives, we know for a fact the Left is a bunch of hypocrites.  If it helps further the illusion the person is pro-gun, they'll gladly buy them -- and profess at every opportunity to being a "gun owner."  Kind of like a narcotics undercover taking drugs at a party to get "in" with the crowd.

Not everything is a conspiracy.  The amount of effort required for me to be some dnc plant is unreal. That means I would fake friendships.  Have my own family express their anger at me liking guns.   Over a 7 year period.  Dedicate a decent part of my time educating myself.   And spend thousands of hours.  All to con people in Hawaii where dnc doesn't give a fuck about because to them we are already their puppets.

Or it could be in not a republican, have my own views and like guns.  And want to share that with others.

I'm anti illegal immigration,  small government,  prochoice,  pro 2a,  pro privacy and freedom,  pro civil rights,  no religion in government,  pro law and order,  climate change is real,  usa is the leader of the world, anti communist, down with China and Russia and North Korea.  Science above most and probably many more ideals.

Please tell me which party I should belong to.  Or should I pick a side and ignore half my values?

I find it strange how quickly you play the "conspiracy theory" card to discredit anything you can't disprove.

Just an observation.

Obviously, you think anyone with an agenda is not likely to go forward due to the unreal amount of effort it might take.

Yet, you were impressed at the level of effort the scammer went through to take your $100 from you.

You aren't the best judge of where the cutoff is between "worth the effort" and "not worth it".

I also  see you do this often:  the comment started off about "conspiracy" and ended with "tell me what party I should belong to."

Where did that detour happen?  WTF does either have to do with the other?

Typical tactic of someone deflecting from a topic that makes them nervous and would rather not even discuss.

Nothing wrong done here because the scammer was never convicted.  So in the eyes of the law, omni donated $100 for pictures of the newspaper next to a Saiga.

More like you create fantasies that I have to somehow disprove.   I am getting tired of it so just calling it a conspiracy theory with no evidence is easier.  Maybe I am not the best judge, but I know no way in hell I would do that much effort.
