I went back and re-read it and I see what you are talking about as far them halting that test that was recently developed because they are trying to refine it, then I clicked the 'FDA approved tests' started read that and pretty interesting to see how many companies couldnt get an accurate test off the ground following the parameters the FDA / CDC were asking for, a lot of labs bowed out, gave up or submitted bad data that was rejected. .

not a new test
this is the original cdc approved SARS-CoV II test that they are cancelling
"After December 31, 2021, CDC will withdraw the request to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for Emergency Use Authorization (EUA) of the CDC 2019-Novel Coronavirus (2019-nCoV) Real-Time RT-PCR Diagnostic Panel, the assay first introduced in February 2020 for detection of SARS-CoV-2 only. "

Yeah, I am deep in the weeds reading about Oct 2020 tests parameters, what they are trying to do now and how that is going, my bad.

Hmmm, he uses words like concerned and could.  Then ask for proof of claims. Nice try, trying to sound like the big man on campus.

Not like he said "will". English101, refund.

as usual, it projects an answer to get triggered by
and doesn't realize how it is calling out someone who didn't make a definitive statement when it makes incorrect definitive statements all the time...

I can be wrong and not get my feelings hurt. Im a big boy.

Also the post that sparked it all isnt something I was married to, sh*tposting random things I come across on teh interwebz is what I do.  I am not saddled with a dogma, I am not trying to prop up a political position.

So fair warning 3/4 of what I say on the internet isnt something I would swear to in court.

You get points for trying to keep all sides honest.

Why don't we set up a time to meet so you can tell him to his face.

Asking a doc a question makes someone an idiot?

Makes sense for someone who blindly trust the media and government.

Good thing we live in a country where 1 can question things without being detained after.

Not getting vaxxed is idiot thing one.   Not being vaxxed and going to an area with higher chance there are infected is idiot move two. Arguing with the owner of a private practice and land about their rules is borderline, depending on how far you take it.

For example if there is a no smoking sign.  It's not idiotic to ask why.  But to argue with the answer may be.

Questioning things are not idiotic.  But having beliefs that are thoughly disproven are.

Sure.   Don't want to start a fight,  but I willingly tell anyone who is unvaxxed that they are idiots.  Assuming they don't have a legitimate reason.

So, you jump to the conclusion they are idiots without knowing if they have a legitimate reason?

Explains a lot.

I notice you have an opinion of my SIL for not being vaccinated (even though you don't know his medical situation), but

you ignored completely the 100% illogical way the doctor treated him by meeting outside.

Not illogical.  The vaccine isn't some magical 100% thing.  Less risk the better.  I would have all the unvaxxed be video conference only.

Could you show me that protocol.

current healthcare professional protocol now that there is a vaccine
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/infection-control-after-vaccination.html

edited to add the full protocol
https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/hcp/infection-control-recommendations.html

please show me where it says in these documents that you should see unvaccinated people outside
please show me any cdc/who/nih/ama/etc/etc/etc protocol that says that you should do that...

We're arguing with an OmniBot.  He can't understand what he reads.  He just regurgitates canned talking points based on a scan of the comment it's reading.

Not technically provable (lack of studies),  however because one can fairly deduce that your SIL does not have any medical condition.  For one the doctor knows the medical history of his patients and would know if something existed that prevented a vaccine.  Second as said before most people bring up "disabilities" when not being able to meet requirements.

Continue to use telehealth strategies to reduce the risk of SARS-CoV-2 transmission in healthcare settings while maintaining high quality patient care.

Under "Screen and Triage Everyone Entering a Healthcare Facility for Signs and Symptoms of COVID-19"

Limit and monitor points of entry to the facility
.

All employers should implement and update as necessary a plan that:
Is specific to your workplace,
Identifies all areas and job tasks with potential exposures to SARS-CoV-2, and
Includes control measures to eliminate or reduce such exposures.

TLDR the CDC recommends taking as many precautions to less risk of spread.  The unvaccinated protocols can be put under these.
