and the classifieds are out of control!

Some difficult decisions to be made for sure. Sell it all before they take it away? Can make a decent bit of coin at the moment but the value of the dollar is dropping like a rock

As of last report I saw, both races went to the Dems, but the margins are so close, I'm curious if there will be recounts.  Run-off elections may have different rules.

If these results stand, then .....

Most of my news is from multiple sources and fox, and yup never met the guy.  I doubt anyone here did. I do google news and www.allsides.com/.  Try and get a balance of all different sides.  I do use CNN but also fox.  Gotta see different sources.  Don't be stuck to just one.   Though MSNBC and Britbart I refuse to watch far left or right news sources.  Fox and CNN and many others are at least middleish.

Over 90% of the News agency's are owned by 9 Corporations which are anti Trump so you're actually probably getting your news from one source FAKE NEWS.  Fox News have a few pro Trump reporters but the majority are anti Trump.

Most beat cops and military grunts support Trump. This latest election fraud just bumped up the possibility of a coup dramatically.
What?  A coup led by the police and the military?

Well, how fitting that if this happens.  America, the empire in denial, will officially become the "Empire of the United States".

Damn the dems have the house senate and the presidency

Well I remember when we were so excited in 2016 when republicans controlled all 3 and they didn’t do squat. It’s gonna be an interesting couple of years.

But like 1 person posted, it's OK because it will only be for the next 4 years.

Dang I hope pence runs in 2024.  I got new respect for the man.  This is what an actual republican looks like.

“It is my considered judgment that my oath to support and defend the Constitution constrains me from claiming unilateral authority to determine which electoral votes should be counted and which should not,” Pence wrote in his three-page letter addressed to members of Congress.

Not at all Mr. G.   :shaka:

I just find it ironic how many of my contentions, regarding the fall, of the US, into a declining fascist empire, is coming to fruition.

The American people themselves are being played, against one another, by the ultrawealthy elite.  Rigged elections; flip flopping politicians; and paid-off patsies, on both the so-called Left and Right stirring-up civil unrest.  All of these shenanigans are dress rehearsal, for what was planned a long time ago.  Trump was nothing, but a stumbling block, in their plans, providing a brief reprieve to America's old guard.

Unfortunately, for those, who believed in Trump was playing 4D chess, as did this Hawaiian; whatever you want to call those who really control the US, they were playing 5D chess and are about to checkmate the last remanence, of the old American Republic.

It is difficult to tell if you despise fascism (whatever that means) because you speak about it with so much admiration and respect.

We are not witnessing the checkmate of a grand game played by the masters of the human race, but rather a bunch of senile old fools desperately clawing for power as the population turns against them.

I'm not so sure we have a majority of "fools" voting for oppressive government as much as we have a few of those people already in power cheating to retain/regain power where they can.

It's obvious the Left can't win on the merits of their ideas, or they wouldn't always be on the side that benefits from all the "glitches", anomalies, unconstitutional rule changes and 3AM magical ballot deliveries.

Pop quiz, Hot Shot!

Without using ANY Internet or WWW resources, answer this pop culture question:

What does "jump the shark," mean, and when/how did it become a saying?

No lifelines!  No phoning a friend, no 50/50 (essay questions don't have that), and no polling the audience (friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, stray dog, imaginary friends, ...).

If you know this, it should take only one or two sentences.

READY?

GO!!

 :geekdanc:
I was just reviewing some 2A posts and came across this.
I didn't see any answers.  I never watched the show but I think it
was Happy days and the Fontz riding something going over a shark.
I never understood the term other than doing something too soon.

Correct-a-mundo ...    :geekdanc:

The "something" was water-skis.  Of course, he wore his leather jacket during the jump.

"Jumping the shark" is now an idiom used to describe a misguided attempt at generating new publicity for something that was once, but which is no longer, widely popular; the attempt serves instead to highlight the irrelevance of what it intends to promote.

The Happy Days episode had dual meaning.  Fonzie had lost his courage and was desperate to get it back.  He thought taking a challenge nobody else had the guts to do would restore his courage.  In the same way, the show was in a ratings period.  They thought something outrageous like Fonzie jumping a shark would score big on the ratings.

I have a different point of view.
The left's point of view will always win because it rewards idiots that vote.
Most people aren't all that smart.  They are cleaver, but not smart.
So they can be motivated to do things not in their best long term
interests by a short term reward.
They can be fed BS that makes them fearful and acting out of ignorance
do anything to eliminate that threat. Climate change, Covid 19 et al.

I despise the Democrat party and their values.
But I know most people are idiots so Democrats will be the majority.
America was originally set up to negate this problem and even the
"playing field", so the smart guys and the idiots had equal chances
at America's opportunities, but little possibility of oppressing each other.
That is today, long gone.
This 20JAN21 will kill America.
Smart guys will prepare for and destroy the Democrats source of
resources.  Idiots will steal our resources by passing laws we can
no longer legally oppose.
I'm glad I'm not on the mainland.

I understand the theory, but election after election, the Liberal left hasn't been able to motivate their voters to actually vote.  They talk, blog and Tweet a good game, but when the elections roll around, they just don't vote like Republicans seem to.

At least that was the case before Obama.  Even then, I have a feeling donations going through China-based web servers and ballot harvesting where people just didn't show up at the polls were the difference.

Hillary still thinks she won.  The popular vote was increased nationally by states that were voting Blue anyway, such as CA and NY.  Didn't matter if they had record turn out.  It only mattered in swing states.

I still think the level of cheating has increased, and the lack of transparency and empathy to get to the truth proves it.

"I think I have COVID-19.  Can I get treatment?"

"Prove you have COVID."

"I need the test kit, and you have them all.  Will you provide me one?"

"Sorry.  If you have no proof you're sick, we certainly aren't going to help you gather that evidence. That's on you."

If the US population is turning against them, then that's only 50%.  Not enough to break the hold of the imperial power elite.

You know what's really funny.  If I even mentioned that some group would storm the US Capitol and said that was the signal, for the end of the US, sometime last year; I would bet my view would have been dismissed and I would have been dog-piled, not only by you, but everyone else who saw the US, as you do.

Well, some group did cross the Rubicon, sacked the US Capitol, and still there some blowing this off, as nothing, thinking all of America will be holding hands and singing Kumbaya, in the near future.  My God; and there are some who think I am delusional.

The historical signs of nation fall is already written on many urban city walls.  The ever declining US will soon unmask itself, showing its true face of empire, and then later balkanize, into separate nation states, based on political, racial, or ethnic affiliation.

I have no time table for this outcome, but then again, I did not think the storming, of the US Capitol, would happen so soon...
