Journey tribute band Voyage

I just found this band and I am impressed with the front man Hugo. He looks like and sounds like Steve Perry. He also does a good job of portraying the same stage presence as Perry.

Take nothing away from current Journey front man Arnel Pineda. His rags to riches story combined with his never give up motivation is truly impressive. Arnel and 2 members of Journey also visited Trump in the White House in 2017. Liberal original member Neal Schon had a cow when he learned of the WH visit.

Not bad
Hugo doesn't have the vocal power nor the range.

Thanks for sharing this!  Yes, I agree this guy has the demeanor and stage presence of Steve Perry.

For a while I thought I was watching an elder Steve Perry.  The resemblance is remarkable.

Though Arnel does a wonderful job, Steve Perry was truly unique.  Although his voice is not like it was in his younger years.  I mean singing like that through endless tours it was bound to happen.

I just found out Hugo was once considered a replacement for Perry. Schon and another band member felt the resemblance was not a good thing. I have no idea if the rift between Perry and Schon was a factor.

I also found an album made by guitarist Jos Ramos and Hugo. It was made over 10 years ago.
