This is going to make primers and 22 ammo even harder to find. 😢

From articles I was reading, I got the impression things will “live on”, just different owners, management, etc.

https://www.petersenshunting.com/editorial/remington-pieces-sold-iconic-brands-live-on/384968

Didn’t read every word that closely, but it seemed like to me like things would generally proceed with maintaining the “big green” brand, but with all sorts of legalese “no promises” mumbo jumbo.

I had notifications on Midway for Remington primers and Midway sent me notice that they were all discontinued. I didn’t think much about it until Ren just posted the article.

Ahh. Hopefully just part of rebranding or a temp thing until they lines get resurrected.

Remington pistol ammo is one of my fav for range fodder.

I think they may just be retooling and rebranding. Still, its a bad time to deny the market products that are in such high demand and in extremely short supply.

It might come down to eventually throwing rocks and insults

I think ANTIFA has training courses ....
The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

“ Chris Metz, Chief Executive Officer, said, "The migration back to nature and into the outdoors is the future. The combination of beloved ammunition brands created by this transaction will benefit shooting sports enthusiasts, outdoor recreation retailers and Vista Outdoor for many years to come. We look forward to welcoming the people of Remington and leveraging our collective passion, scale, manufacturing infrastructure, distribution channels and Centers of Excellence to bring Remington products to more consumers.

"During the past three years, we have transformed the Vista Outdoor Ammunition business unit into a stronger, more nimble and more profitable operation. Today, our Ammunition business unit's operational expertise and efficiency are major competitive advantages, enabling Vista Outdoor to rapidly respond to increased demand in ways that other ammunition manufacturers simply can't match. As we ramp into the fall hunting season, we are pleased to offer hunting and shooting sports enthusiasts everywhere the best the market has to offer. Our mission at Vista Outdoor is to be a powerhouse of passionate outdoor sports and recreation brands. Remington is an amazing fit. We are excited and honored to now offer the Remington brand and the iconic green box to our customers," concluded Metz.

Yeah.  Sucky timing all around.

Hopefully just a matter of time until things return.  It took a long time after 2012-2013 run on everything guns.  I do encourage everyone to remember who supported and who took advantage (at least too far) of the situation.  Both retailers and otherwise.  CTD was notorious for those antics, like magazines selling for 10x or more markup.
