Have been a member here for a while but not terribly active.  Am a professional writer and contribute to the HRA website. I recently got into the AR and AK platforms.   Before that was primarily shooting revolvers and 1911s. Realized that someone was selling a VEPR (which I really wanted to buy) but found out too late.  Am interested in seeing what people are buying and selling in the AR space. This is a great forum for Hawaii people.

Hey 2AHawaii. I'm John. I used to be the Firearms Specialist at the Kapolei Sports Authority. But I transferred to the Windward store. My knowledge is mostly in long guns, however I'm working on broadening my hand gun knowledge. I recently just picked up a RCBS Rock Chucker and I'm getting into reloading.

Aloha 2a Hawaii :shaka: I am a new member and relatively new to fire arms. I want to get a hand gun for home defense. I have arrangements to attend a handgun safety/intro course as required. I have a question. I got into a little bit of trouble a few years back. The final disposition of my case was assault 3, a misdemeanor, with a deferred acceptance of guilt. Thus my charge will be expunged from my record. Can I still acquire a handgun or any gun for that matter?

Hope to be able to continue with 2aHawaii, we will see.

Mahalo in advance for whatever advice and input anyone may have for me.
